sad but happy....

It's been 5 days since Ashur asked to nurse at night before bed. Our bedtime sessions were the last of his feedings, and I thought he would keep going... but ever since Christmas he's been increasingly less interested instead before bed he just asks to "snuggle onna couch with blue blankie" and so... we do. He still asks me to nurse his toys occasionally, but it's rarer now as well.

I will miss nursing him, but the snuggling before he goes to bed is the perfect replacement. He just lays across me, belly to belly and he talks and talks and talks about all sorts of things. Tigers that go "rawwrrr", dino bones, the alligator slide and the pool, how much he likes socks, his dumptruck.

I love that kid.
