i am doing this post-baccalaureate fellowship, and frankly, sometimes, it's lonely. because a lot of my really, really close friends have graduated. and i do have other friends, too, and steve, my saxophone professor/mentor, who is letting me live in his house. he's always great to hang out with and watch crappy tv with, etc. but still, i have a lot of time on my hands. last year, i took 18 credits fall semester, and was registered for, i think, 20 credits in the spring, though i actually ended up sitting in on 21 or 22, i can't remember. but this semester, i'm taking 9. and, i'm not saying that they're all easy, but, they're not nearly as difficult as the courses i've gotten used to. long gone are the days of hearing 15 seconds of a random opera, and explaining the composer, the opera itself, the nationalism that's found in the opera, what's going on in this scene that we just listened to, etc. so, yes, i have a lot of free time.
so, it's been something like, 4 years since i've been in a real, honest-to-goodness play. but, i heard about auditions for A Christmas Carol, and because i'm bored and had nothing better to do, i decided to give it a whirl. i found out this morning that i got the part of BOB CRATCHET, so i'm really, really stoked about that! i'm so excited. i will post dates, etc. when they become available.
anyway, that's all i really needed to say. i will post more sometime. ciao.
