Four To Go - [Voice]

This weather is starting to disagree with me. [Sniff.] I suppose I shouldn't have waited so long to get some warmer clothes. Now I'm not sure I'll even have the strength to go out and find something to eat.

[So. He'll probably just die here in his room from having a cold. If only he had a retainer to look after him!]I don't suppose magic is any ( Read more... )

Hey! Heeey! I can draw something for you. Yotsuba has been told that she's a brilliant artist after all. Daddy loves my drawings!

[Ohmygosh drawing. So excited right now.]

[Oh. A hyperactive little kid. This isn't exactly what he was looking for.]

Well I'll need to see a demonstration first. I can't just trust this to anyone, you know.

Demon... Strayshun? ...Okay?

[What's a demonstration? ...Should she just start drawing? Yeah, time to start drawing. Lets start out with a nice big crooked circle drawn onto the page of the journal.]

This is a pond! [A little more drawing. There's a smaller circle with a line come out of it. Oh, and now some spikes coming out of it.] And this is a duck, it has big wings. Quack quack!

[Wow, you are a terrible artist. Elicia is probably better than this!]

That seems like a rather small pond for a duck.

Unless you want magic to destroy your nose or seal it shut, I'd suggest cold medicine.

I'd rather keep it the way it is. I wouldn't know what cold medicine looks like. I'm not a doctor.

It's a pill. You could probably find it anywhere here. [Or ... not ... she doesn't really know much about cold medicine either, aside from what she just said.] If you still can't, go to a clinic.

I would, but I'm not sure I can manage the strength for it. [These sniffles are the worst, okay.]

It's really not that cold yet, is it?

Yooouuu cooouuuld... wrap yourself in a blanket and head to the store for clothes? Wrap a pillow around your stomach? A towel? Might look a little odd though, but... that would keep you warm enough to get there. Maybe. Unless you have really thin blankets and that sort of thing...

[Oh Alistair. He has warm clothes! And blankets! But he wants free food, not advice.]

I suppose that's an option, if it really comes to that.

[Missing that note...]

Sooooo.... you're fine for now then? Lot's of blankets? Jackets? Socks? That sort of thing?

More socks than I'll ever need, I think.

Hi Ling! [She still remembers the nice guy who greeted her when she first got to Luceti.] Are you sick? I could try bring you something!

[There we go! This is exactly what he was going for.]

Well I'd hate to have to ask... but bringing some warm food over would really help.

Gimme a bit and I'll make some stew!

[There'll be the sound of a lot of clanking around as Anise starts tossing ingredients into the pot. She'll look back at the journal a bit later, with a sheepish expression on her face.]

Say, Ling, where do you live again?

[He sure hopes you know how to cook, Anise!]

Building five, the first room. Are you already finished?

[Being slightly sick does suck. Having to deal with months of this colder weather really sucks.] You would think all of this magic would do something as simple as cure the common cold, but apparently not.

I suppose sorcerers and wizards can't be bothered hanging around sick people to test their magic. Otherwise they might get sick too.

And the ones already sick are too busy being sick to bother testing magic. [It makes sense to him, at least.] You're probably getting enough answers to keep you busy until you're not sick, anyway.

Oh, I wouldn't say that. I could have used a little more. It would make me feel more appreciated.
