Four To Go - [Voice]

Nov 11, 2011 21:36

This weather is starting to disagree with me. [Sniff.] I suppose I shouldn't have waited so long to get some warmer clothes. Now I'm not sure I'll even have the strength to go out and find something to eat.

[So. He'll probably just die here in his room from having a cold. If only he had a retainer to look after him!]I don't suppose magic is any ( Read more... )

[voice], sick means free food

It's really not that cold yet, is it?

Yooouuu cooouuuld... wrap yourself in a blanket and head to the store for clothes? Wrap a pillow around your stomach? A towel? Might look a little odd though, but... that would keep you warm enough to get there. Maybe. Unless you have really thin blankets and that sort of thing...

[Oh Alistair. He has warm clothes! And blankets! But he wants free food, not advice.]

I suppose that's an option, if it really comes to that.

[Missing that note...]

Sooooo.... you're fine for now then? Lot's of blankets? Jackets? Socks? That sort of thing?

More socks than I'll ever need, I think.

Oh. Well if that's the case then... I'm sorry, I don't think I really got your um, question then.

I'm not used to having to nurse myself back to health while living alone.

Oh. Oh! You're sick? Oh. I thought... [Laughing at himself a tad] Well, you could always make soup? It's pretty easy, I think. It's a meal I usually don't... char or burn too badly. Good for illness too, I've heard.

I'm not much of a cook. And unfortunately there's no food in the kitchen.

None? Well I suppose you could ask a friend of sorts to get you something from the store then. If you're lucky they might even cook for you.

Well, I was hoping one of my friends would hear of my plight. But I haven't had that happen just yet.

[Oh. He sees what you're trying to do...]

Right. So you ...want someone else to go instead? [SIGH. He could use some fresh air and he was planning to go to the store soon anyways... All right. Good Samaritan act of the day.]

I'm fine with going, if you'd like but, why... didn't you just ask? It probably would have saved you a lot of time. A couple sniffles, stomach grumbles. You know... directness. Straightforward. To the point. That sort of thing. I'm not very good at it myself but. It usually wooorks..?

I have a little more pride than just going around asking for people's charity.

[Oh no good sir. Ling has to maintain his dignity. Unfortunately lying out in the street with his face in the dirt isn't an option while it's so cold.]

[Just bring a blanket! And lying in the dirt shouldn't be too much of a problem.]

I suppose... you could always ask for it as a favor? Or a sort of IOU, people don't mind those so much.

Right well, if you want anything, you should tell me what it is now.

You're far too kind! I hear hot soup is excellent when feeling like this.

You don't say....

Right well, I'm Alistair.
