seems fitting...
at any rate, Easter's here and it's a good time, now that services are finished. honestly, I didn't feel Easterly at cRiv. this could be for a number of reasons. it could have been that I felt obliged to deliver a certain something for those people whom we only see on special occasions, and that if we're really honest with ourselves, they didn't really care all that much about what they expected. of course it also may have been the 45 minutes of sleep I enjoyed on Saturday night after coming home from St. Stephen's in Lynn and getting myself in gear for cRiv's 5:30 am service. it also may have been satan screwing with my sound equipment something fierce like he usually does on big holy days. we'll never really know, will we?
now St. Stephen's...this was Easter. we're talking a two-and-a-half hour liturgical rock and roll extravaganza for Jesus. we're talking people that wanted to be there. we're talking a bishop, candles, pizza, the whole deal. all the church was missing was incense.
don't get me wrong, I liked cRiv's 5:30 gathering. the time was just simon-of-cyreneacious. i think we should just skip the formal deal next year and go straight to the annual souped up Easter party and rock out all afternoon.
regardless, I can talk shop all day long, but Jesus is still alive, still really really cool and I'm still working for him (on good days). and that's rad.
hasta.
