and hiking are all i can think about its almost consuming my every thought and day dream. Its a good change for when work calls me for bullshit since they can' give me a raise this year. well maybe if you idiots didn't have an xmas lunch at the aquarium then that $30000 could have gone to making your employees happy through out the following year.
that doesn't matter what does matter is I'm leaving the spring of 2010 to hike the entire length of the Appalachian Trail. From Springer Mountain in Georgia to Katahdin Mountain in Maine which is about 2175 miles and which I'm expecting it to take 6 months.
this weekend i picked up some more of my gear.
-jetboil pcs with fuel and kit
-msr hubba tent with footprint
-big agnes sleeping pad
ive already got
-REI Ridgeline pack
-Kelty 20 degree bag (which i might return)
-Merrell boots (which ill need another pair)
-plenty of clothes
-Katadyn water filter
-Camelpak reservoir
-princeton headlamp
what i need.
-more wool socks
-pack cover
-trekking pools
-a solar charger
-stuff sacks
-food sacks
+ whatever else ill need to live out or a 50 lb pack for a few months
im currently starting to train for endurance, by slowly increasing workouts, and just enjoying the outdoors with short hikes. and since ive got my gear started id like to start doing some overnights on the AT. so with that said Fuck it lets go hiking,
