Sparks Fly When You're Around
I helped out at this 4H cooking class today, for a couple of hours. I checked everyone in, and then talked about 4H, and helped out with anything else anybody needed. I had to get up super early, but it was kind of nice. There were a lot of kids there, especially for our county, and that was really nice to see, since we usually get horrible turnouts and stuff. Afterwards we ran some errands. I wanted to do some stuff outside today, but when we got home at 11 it was already 100 degrees outside. :l
I have a sore throat, which really sucks. I'm reallyreallyreally hoping it's not going to turn into a cold. I'm a bit of a germ freak, because I HATE being sick, and I don't handle it very well. I get sick for like a week and a half, and I cough for weeks afterwards, so it's not something I really want to be dealing with right now. I have a week and a half before I go to Kansas for the fourth, and I don't want any chance of still being sick by then. :/ So hopefully it'll go away, and I'll be okay.
My niece called today. We are meeting her and my sister in Kansas for the fourth, and she's going to come stay with us for like two weeks. She's five, and she's so excited about coming. She told Dad that she can't wait to "see Katie! And Grandma! And Easter!" And left him out. lol. But it's great that she's excited, and she really can't wait to ride the horses. It's so cute. She mostly called today to inform us that she was sleeping in my room and she is not sleeping on the floor, nice, right? I'm going to get a lot of sleep those two weeks. I really wouldn't mind it, except that she goes to bed at like, nine, and I'm usually up till two am or later.
Tomorrow we are picking up July!!
