Court Packing

May 30, 2013 17:07

The Republicans don't get it. Roosevelt didn't like the bent of the Supreme Court. He tried to expand the number of seats, ensuring he would then nominate people he liked, packing the court.

Today, there are hundreds of open seats in the court system. There are administrative branch positions not filled. Why? Because the Republicans don't want to allow Obama to do his job. They want Republicans who were put in place by Shrub to stay until the next Republican administration so they can ensure the Republicans stay in control.

Obama is President. He has been polite to swine, waiting for Republican Senators to nominate judges and waiting for them to approve his own administration's leaders. Yet they won't do it. They intentionally do everything they can to make the government fail. Very patriotic.

So finally Obama and Reid are sounding like the might be getting the guts they should have gotten two years ago. Obama might nominate people, according to the Constitution, and Reid might hold majority votes for fill empty positions. What's the Republican cry? "Court Packing!"

Either they are just to ignorant to know what that phrase means or they're intentionally cynical and lying about it. Given the breadth of people leading the party, I think it's a bit of both.
