Busy day. Better get a move on.

Pete and I are going to the NIU basketball game tonight, but I haven't even began to get ready for the day yet.  I started working out, then quit after two sets of crunches.  Oh well.  I get back up there soon.

I'm going to hit the shower and throw in a load of laundry, because I'm out of socks and I could use a clean set of jeans and t-shirts.  Then it's off to the library to return a couple of books and order one off inter-library loan.  The DKPL has Liquor and Soul Kitchen, but Prime is no where to be seen!

Speaking of which, I'm actually rather fascinated/freaked out by one of the characters in Liquor.  Mike is more or less the bad guy of the story and he has it out for the main character, mainly because the guy called him a dick.  And he is one.  Mike is a coke addict with no ambition or than to tear people down.  So when Rickey (the good guy) goes into business for himself, this guy gets paranoid (due to the coke), thinking Rickey is out to get him, so he in turn, starts stalking him and tries to get him first.  I think what bugs me the most about his character is that there are real people out here who behave like this!  I think the pathetic-ness of his character is so real that it's almost frightening.  But one thing I noticed is Mike's character wasn't in Soul Kitchen, so he's not someone I have to worry about for long.  I only have 60 or so pages left in Liquor.

I also found the sequel to Something Borrowed the other day at DKPL as well, Something Blue.  I'm sure I'll be cracking into that one pretty quick as well.

My NaNoWriMo group starts up tomorrow again on a bi-weekly basis until April, when Script Frenzy starts.  I couldn't be more grateful!  I miss my new writing friends and I want to get back to actively working on my novel and get it done.  They are a great encouragement and it means the world to me to have them there and get some input about my work.

Okay, I think I better hit the shower pretty quick.  I have some chores to do today.
