Hi, ho. Hi, ho.

Spent most of the day at work, but mostly interesting and fun stuff, but I won't ramble about that here. My LJ is just for sewing stuff, unless I want to seriously rant. The more mundane stuff of life is on my other blog.

Anyway, after dinner, I was able to get the front closures of the bodice sewn on, which meant that I was ready to start the skirt. So, I picked up my fork and set to work making rolled pleats. I even managed to get them tight enough for all four panels to fit onto the waist of the bodice. Yay! Once everything was pinned, I started handsewing the skirt to the bodice. I don't think I'm even quite halfway yet, but after taking a break to do up the dishes, I don't really have the energy to continue. Instead, I think I'll get ready for bed and then curl up with a book until K comes home from tonight's committee meeting.

Now, tomorrow, I need to get some serious sewing done:

1. Finish attaching skirt to bodice.
2. Press under fabric at armscyes and sew fashion fabric and lining together.
3. Drape neckline of chemise so that it mirrors the bodice neckline.
4. Cut out chemise.
5. Sew all major chemise seams.
6. And if I'm really on a roll--cut out the hat.
