I have a system with a non-mounting xfs root partition. This is the first time I have ever had xfs cause me any problems. I have been using it for years and years. I sucumbed. I need a mobile tool that lets me check things online, and access some content from the net. I am unwilling to pay for a smart phone, I spend about $100 per year for my tracfone, $70 per month is not an option. My laptop is too heavy to carry with me on a casual basis. For those who are interested in such things, I have a quiet computer. I mean really quiet. The sound of the hard drive is clearly heard above the fans, especially on power up. There are 120 mm case and CPU fans, controlled by the motherboard. The fool thing used to sound like a jet. I was using a Coolmax V-500 power supply. I like Coolmax. ( Read more... )
