skjdhfl i hate doubletagging, but this muse would def. answer this post fatespoken August 10 2009, 23:31:12 UTC
It can be healthy, equal, and fulfilling. But whether the relationship would work? That's entirely dependent on their personalities, not their species.

Then you apparently are of the belief that personality is not predicted by nature.

I believe "predicted" is too strong of a word to use. Influenced? That's undeniable fact. And if everything was predisposed, that would be rather boring.

Also, the human in the relationship could just have the perfect disposition to counter the bloodsucker.

Or perhaps she is too enthralled with what he is to notice his glaring faults like his brethren can.

Or perhaps she's not that naive, and is actually attracted to other aspects of his character besides the whole immortal, supernatural creature facet.

Don't get me wrong. While I say that the relationship can be fulfilling and healthy - the question is for how long? Most relationships are eventually doomed for failure, and the whole species difference adds makes everything more complex.

You clearly do not know Sookie Stackhouse.

Not long enough to justify it for someone who will live-- if he isn't stupid --as long as the man in question.

I was thinking of someone else when I answered that question.

Maybe he has a reason to justify it. But if this Sookie is as naive as think, then it'll probably come to bite her in the ass later. Those honeymoon years don't last forever.

...That was a horrible unintended pun. I'm disgusted with myself.

It isn't her I'm worried about.

And I love puns.

You're worried about the vampire in question? I'm going to presume it's not you, since you don't seem much of a love machine - to be frank. But rest assured! There's a good chance that their relationship will fall apart before he has to watch her die.

Even stupid vampire puns?

Frankness is always appreciated.

Especially stupid vampire puns.

Then it's good I excel at it.

I shouldn't be surprised by that comment. You did name your bar "Fangtasia."
