i fell asleep at about 230, 245, and woke up to a knocking at my door at 330, i had overslept.
i grabbed my stuff, threw it all in a bag, grabbed the board and the boots, forgot my contacts, and sprinted to the atm and then the bus. i forgot my pants, so i had to run back and get them, mountains get quite cold this time of year, and i don't want to get all wet without my pants.
so, get on the bus, fall asleep, and wake up at about 9 o'clock. put my stuff on in the bus, jump out, grab the board, and get ready for a bitchin', yeah that's right, day of snowboarding.
i went on a day trip to a mountain. it was snowing, which was awesome, but i had my glasses on, which sucked. i got used to the wind after the first couple runs, but the snow would stick to them, so by the time i'd get to the bottom i couldn't see anything. but i couldn't see anything while i was going down, so i continually tried to get into these giant snowdrifts that would knock my ass down. but with a sick amount of powder-i found myself trapped in waist deep snow a couple of times, which made me take my board off to wade out of it-no falls hurt, no trail seemed to steep, even the closed-off ones. i can't read japanese, so maybe the signs were just saying "a really sick trail is right here, go down as fast as possible". powder still trips me up, it's like riding opposite of what i'm used to, but i'm getting used to it.
end of trip, whipped-cream crepe, sleeping on a bus, bowl of ramen, more sleeping on a bus, getting back, chilling out. it was a good day.
and i think i'm addicted to x-men legends II, i played it straight through last night. fun game, fun game.
thank you japan, and your weather controlling mafia
