Do you remember when you were a kid and the world was so big and so unknowable and every day you learned something new?

What atoms are, and how they make up everything.

Fire consumes oxygen.

Photosynthesis.

The Great Wall of China can be seen from space.

Rome conquered most of the known world.

Well, I kinda got that when I was first introduced into drugs. I mean, anything that's really new to me still gets treated with that sense of childlike wonder. I think the trouble is trying to find something new to be excited about.
