Again, I stated that I'm NOT aiming my statements at anyone in particular.
However, if people can't be open-minded enough to let others lead the lives that make them happiest than I do believe they are dumbasses because like the bible says, nobody has a right to judge another person or condemn them.
Loving someone also means loving them for who they really are good or bad. It also means you accept them for who they are, no matter what. Beliefs are personal opinions and not liking someone because they are homosexual IS judging them based on their sexual orientation. I'm open minded to both sides and said that these are MY opinions. I wasn't trying to get anyone to agree or disagree and don't care what others think, but I am allowed to defend MY beliefs because they are MY opinions. And I never said I don't like liberals....I've always said I'm non-political and go by the better candidate no matter what political affiliation they have.
I didn't say you don't like gay people. As a matter of fact, I never pointed anyone out at all! I'm simply saying that people can't claim to truly accept someone for who they really are and love them for who they are and then turn around and tell them that their love and the person they want to spend their life with is wrong based on the fact that they fell in love with someone of the same sex. Best quote I ever heard was, "You can't choose where or who you will love" and it comes from Phantom of the Opera. So telling them they aren't free to marry who they want because it's not what society believes to be "right" is saying that you don't truly love or accept them as equals even though God says to love everyone equally.
LOL Me becoming gay isn't an option since it's not a choice that you're given, it's who you are. I didn't plan on defriending you over this. You stated and defended your opinions and I did the same with mine...that was all. I do have more gay friends than straight ones and I hate seeing the pain that society is forcing them to live with because they are not allowed by man's law to be as happy as anyone who chooses to live by God's law.
I'm not trying to get into this whole big bash, because I honestly couldn't care about religion, one way or another. But, what right does anyone have in trying to say how someone else lives, simply because of the lifestyle they live?
What, also, would it matter if homosexual marriages were allowed? It's not going to directly effect you, so why would you honestly care? I mean, if you weren't a strongly religious person [Just guessing, please don't flame me for that, either, if you're not], would you care one way or another?
Like Chrissy said, if anything's "going against marriages" it's Celebrities getting married and Neveda allowing, pretty much, anyone to get married. Why would it matter if homosexuals were allowed to get married, then? They'd end up lasting ten times longer then half the marriages out there, I'm betting. Celebrity marriages are the ones that are making the actual commitment of being married a joke. Britney Spears, I'm sorry, is a prime example, along with half the others. They get married and divorced, like

First and foremost, actually, because I found this to be most interesting, not to mention very highly entertaining; Your first comment was reposting a portion of Chrissy's post, pointing out that you thought she was talking about you. Correct? Funny thing, isn't it, when Chrissy didn't mention any names or point the finger at anyone, specifically. Yet, you felt the need to repost that and make a comment about it? Gee, wonder who's feeling guilty?
And it's funny how so many people who are big into religion and against gay marraiges [From my own dealing with them in the past], most of them have been married, I don't know how many times, and they're always cheating on the person they're with, then remarrying the next day, so it seems, to someone they've barely known. Or, rather, to the person they cheated on their husband with? Going by prime example is my cousin, along with a few others I've recently met. What do you say to them? The ones that are making a true mockery of marriage? Allowing homosexuals to marry is only giving them the

I still rest on the fact that you'd be feeling guilty for something but, like you said, I have nothing else better to do but sit on LiveJournal "tell someone off" to make my day complete
