What a phenomenally grand time I'm having of it here at the program. So many wonderful people all collected together and waiting to watch Doctor Who with me. Or maybe just maybe watch me squee and dance about like a mad thing as I do my dance of mad joy after watching a particularly fine episode like Utopia was.
Faithful Viewer, (as Phill Collinson would say) I would pause my episode after particularly exciting mind blowing things happened and announce them to my girls as they were primping for the dance. I was grinning like a loon and had crazy-person giggles - I hope they can still see me as a person in authority after they've seen me hugging myself and swooning going ' Derek Jacobi, Sir Derek Jacobi. John Simm, John Simmmmmmmm.' Or when I saw John Barrowman's name in the title credits, I didn't have to open the door to tell them something exciting had happened, they could hear my shriek quite clearly.
John Simm is going to be such a great Master - for many years to come, one may hope.
So I watched the episode once in my room before desk duty and then again with Charley and commentary and then again after the dance Ben and I watched it. How could we wait until our desk duty would finnish the next morning?  Oh, we so  couldn't. He had this whole expectation that the episode would take us to Utopia where our cute lil' refugees would promptly be eaten or suffer some other horrible fate because let's face it, when a place is called 'Utopia' and sends out messages "Come to Utopia," nothing good can come of it - for serious.
Jack is back and flirting with every man woman and multiform he meets - except the Professor, which is a bummer,
Simm!Master/Jack would be so hot.
Yesterday was quite the enjoyable day even before the fateful 5:00 viewing of Doctor Who. That morning I had a workshop and tought the kids some origami models, most popularly the Magic Rose Cube.  I got the kids who weren't keen on Paper Heroes ( the local comic books/nerd store) and the ones who were keen on swimming but the Rec. canceled swimming on us. It'll be rescheduled for today. Through the wonders of scheduling I'll be sitting on the soccer-field underneath a parasol supervising be-cleated 94 pound girls running down 200 pound men.
I guess I would have rather watched the kids play vintage Atari games on a projector in the Old Ranch, but I've never watched a soccer game before, it could be entertaining.

gpgc, counselorly duties, doctor who, squee
