Reminders

So, one of the reasons I'm so depressed (although I've been too busy this past week to really notice), is I feel like God has forgotten me. Well, He's been reminding me, yesterday and today that He has NOT forgotten me, and He is STILL going to use me - and IS using me. (Go figure).

1. In church yesterday, we were watching a video about J.O. Fraser - missionary to the Lisu in China. At the end of the video, his granddaughter says "God calls us. He equips who He calls." I'm rather frantic, trying to make sure I'm ready to do whatever God calls me to (since I currently have no idea what the long range plans are). I can chill out (although not do NOTHING), trusting that He is in charge - even of my actions - and when He calls me to do something I will be prepared - in Him.

2. I was reading Let Me Be A Woman by Elisabeth Elliot, and one of the things she said, is that God has called us to live TODAY. One of the reason's I don't leave Logos, is 'cause I know God has called me to it - for now. But because I feel it's temporary, I get all worked up about the future, when I oughtn't. All I need to be concerned about is living today as fully as I can, to what God has called me.

3. I was reading a comment of Bethany's in my journal, and she mentioned the class she was teaching for Sunday School. Her illustration was how blinder's are put on horses so they don't freak out and plunge the carriage they're pulling into DOOM. Well, we need 'em too. (Just 'cause an explanation is simple, doesn't mean it ain't awesome, Beth-chan. :3) I need to stop freaking out about everything, and focus on TODAY, and trust in FAITH that God knows what He's doing.

With that in mind, I'm going to take a nap. My body is worn out, and God know's what He's doing, so I don't need to work myself sick trying to get everything done. (I was planning to force myself to do anatomy practice, but I really do need to rest if I'm going to cope through the concert tonight).

So, g'night all. Ta ta~
