Today is national glutton day. I made a broccoli and "cheez" soup from scratch. I was worried that it would be horrible since I haven't made it in a year and had no idea how I made it. I think it turned out good. We'll see what everyone else thinks at my sisters house in a few hours.
Tomorrow is national Buy Nothing Day. I plan to celebrate it by staying in my parents' house and writing music. When I find that frustrating I'm going to read the book my brother bought me about New Orleans and Katrina. I plan to attempt to not use my car, cell phone or...the internet. That last one will be the hardest because most days I don't use the first two anyhow. So if you wanna get together with me on Buy Nothing Day, call me today or tough shit. I doubt anyone will be trying to get a hold of me, but I'm putting it out there anyway.
My boss wants me to change positions at my work. I told her I would think about it this weekend. I don't know about that, but we'll see. The biggest downer that is stopping me from doing it is that I would have to use my car more. That is gross.
Last night we had a small but very useful volunteer night at the HUB. It went really well and I'm proud of how much better volunteer nights work vs. a year ago. Hell, it is better than 4 months ago! The next month at the HUB is going to be pretty exciting with projects I have going on.
I was thinking yesterday about how some things are over rated like shampoo, changing your clothes, sleeping in, religion, war, protein, video games, chicago...Really some of these things aren't so bad (besides shampoo and war) but they are just over rated. There is no point to this paragraph.
I have been working on fixing up the Old King Solomon Church on 14th street in Detroit for the US social forum next year. I don't know if I've mentioned it yet, but it will be a staging area for some 5000+ bikes next summer. That place is a mess. I have a few pictures of our work at:

I don't got much else.
