well, it's a new year, at least according to the Jewish Calender. It feels weird- much more real than the American New Year for some reason (maybe it's because it just kinda seems like another day of parties and not like it's taken seriously

human emotions are human, thats why we have them... insanity also, not the worst thing.

I still hate them. Just because jealousy is a human emotion doesnt mean I have to like it. I hate that I can be given over to something so foolish! why do our emotions not listen to our minds (no matter how rational and convincing)?

if we could control our emotions we would lose our ambitions and then we would never do anything fun or risky... we would be unable to live and enjoy life... remember, emotions allow us to enjoy the world around us, so don't write them off too easily.

I just dont see anything positive about jealousy. Why cant I just trust my true friends? A year or so ago when her and I thought we'd lost each other as friends over something big... it turned out to be stupid. We cared about each other more than almost anything else, and I realized then that no matter what we had that bond. When I saw her and she said she understood if I never wanted to see her again, she was crying and I was crying and we hugged for a very long time. I know our friendship is one of the truest things in my life. Maybe that's why I'm so afraid of losing her. But I wish my fear didnt manifest itself in jealousy. Because she's probably the one person in my life I'm honestly the least likely to lose
