+ My vacation ends tomorrow and I head back to Little Rock with my wheels to asphalt (meaning a lot to do right away). Through this vacation I have really relaxed, de-stressed and gotten in touch with some things that I had forgotten and only a good family can remind someone like me of again. My health, physically and spiritually, is very important and nothing to take for granted. God, I feel so good right now, very calm and awake. I only hope that I can keep this up once I get back home (it's wierd writing "home" b/c I don't really consider it that). I think about how we set things in motion, sometimes years ahead of when it comes full, sometimes weeks or even seconds before it becomes real and pattern. Hopefully these last two weeks have been enough to mix the mortar. I have stones to set. xo. isom chad

+ Today I woke up and started packing things. My dad took care of my cousin Ransom, a little five year old bundle of cool-ness. I helped take care of him a little bit while my dad was busy. We ended up running around outside, feeding animals and taking pictures of flowers and dogs and dirt road rocks. I gave Ransom the camera (to keep him busy while I ran around with buckets of horse and cow feed), and he ended up taking some great pictures. Later he asked me if I wanted to shoot guns with him and if I wanted to see his new gun. He was so proud and excited. I guess earlier that day my dad had shot bb-gun with him on the shooting range my dad has. So Ransom took me to where his little gun was and proudly showed it off, pointing out the metal bbs and the about thirty count tiny American flag stickers on the side of it. This kid was so proud of his little gun and wanted me to take a picture of him with it. Oh, little man. After that he wanted to show off this little plastic ring that flashed lights when he pushed it. He made me turn out the lights so I could be amazed by it. He wanted a picture of that too, and while I took pictures of him waving his hand in front of the camera, he kept saying, "Cool. Isn't it cool?" in his little five year old voice. Cute. Oh, cool, cute, little man. What a fun day to spend with an ornery sprite right before I head back to "the city" and rat-race again, even if I don't have my own bb-gun or flashing ring to take with me.

Here are some of the pics we took today.
