+ Mixtape finished. Working with what I had on me (and not much) I put together songs from my tiny collection thrown together in a jiffy. Really there weren't but about 12 cds or so on me. I got at least one thing from each one; and you can tell, some seem really forced (ie. Johanna Newsom, 'though that song really grew on me - great album).
Most of the songs remind me of the things I've been reading, doing, seeing this week. The ride up here. Mowing the lawn. Finishing the Belle & Sebastian book. Playing new songs. Ozark hills. Ozark music. Riding into town with my mom and going to thriftshops and finding treasures for pennies. Now, it's a rough mix (and not so cohesive) but I tried to make it work. It'll be something to look back on. A lot of Scottish "indie" stuff and a lot of backwoods urban banjos too. Ha. (I added more September 67 songs, mostly because it's out of print album/defunct band and I listened to it a lot during my vacation.)
