[When the SFC turns on, you're greeted to a close-up of Ema's left eye. She sets the device down and steps back, with a grin on her face that's more than a little proud. Her goggles are on and she's wearing a pair of latex gloves; she's holding a white spray bottle and in one hand and what appears to be a white shirt in the other (bandaged) hand.

...Do you need stitches?

[Slowly, carefully, she unwraps the bandages around her palm. She hadn't taken a very good look at the cut in the first place, after the bleeding started.]

You need to check if there's any glass in the wound. It'll have to be fairly deep to need stitches. I don't mind doing it for you, but I don't have any anesthesia.
If it's not too deep, I'd suggest just cleaning it out and binding it tightly. If you have any antibiotics, I'd use that on it, as well. It should heal in a few days.

It doesn't feel like there's anything lodged in there. And it's not bleeding anymore - that's always a good sign, right? Still need to clean it out, though.

I don't see anything.

Just press here and there on the wound. You'll be able to tell if there's anything in there. Keep a careful eye out when you're cleaning it out, too. How clean was the glass shard? One long piece, or was it crumbling?

Just one big piece. Curved, too, if that makes a difference...I dropped an empty beaker.

It doesn't look very deep from here. I'd have to see it in person to know for sure, but I'm sure you can piece it together yourself.

[She stops before she gets too far ahead of herself. His offer's reassuring; now that she thought about it, he'd seemed to know exactly what to do the whole time.]
You wouldn't happen to be a doctor, by any chance?

...Yes, I am.
