There were a lot more people and a lot more GUYS at last night's live. The crowd was at least 50% male and surprisingly, a lot of them were Hisashi fans!!
I got there earlier than on Friday but ended up standing in the exact same spot. I wanted first row, but I only got second row and there were tall people (tall, male Hisa fans!!) around, so to avoid seeing only a forest of arms, I went back to the step a few feet away from Hisa.
The BEST part is when they step out onto the stage and I know it's real and not a dream. Hisa first, with a blue lightsaber. Then Jiro, then Teru, then leader.
Everything is mixed up in my head now. Can I just say that Teru's band introduction is so much fun?? On Friday, he started with Toshi. He'd say "on drums!" and we'd yell "Toshi!" "On drums!" "Toshi!" and go back and forth and then he concluded "This is Toshi. He likes Snoopy!" ahahaha. Last night he did Toshi, then Sei-chan, then he was all pointing at Hisashi, but then deliberately yelled "On bass!" & did Jiro, so Hisa threw a pick at his head. !!! *is total Teruhisa fan now* Then Hisa, then TAKURO, then "on vocal!" "TERU!!" "on vocal!" "TERU!!!" & he was totally chortling happily the whole time, sweet Teru!!
I think because there were so many guys last night, Teru split up the guys and girls for the pre-Starless Night chant. I don't think people understood what he wanted at first. He wanted all the girls to sing after him but some guys did too, and Teru PICKED THEM OUT OF THE CROWD, POINTED, and laughed "You are not girl! You are BOY!! Ladies! Girls! Girls only!" lol x 10. And when the guys did their part, they were so loud, sooo many guys there! No wonder Teru did a boys only live earlier this year. & Hisa was counting the beats for us during Teru's "whoa oh oh's."
Last night Teru spent so long talking to fans and asking where they are from that Takuro struck a few chords on his guitar to indicate they should be going on to the next song. Teru is just toooo nice to fans. He totally recognizes some people, like "oh you're from Canada, I know you!" and someone said they were from Brazil (someone on Friday said they were from Brazil too) so Teru said, "Yeah, I know. From last night!" But it turned out to be a different person from Brazil lol. I can't believe they had at least 2 people fly from Brazil!
Quite early on, someone threw a green bracelet at Teru and he snatched it out of the air with one hand neatly just like that, and slipped it on his wrist!! Someone had an I love Glay banner and he smiled and said "Yeah, I know! I love you too!" in addition to all the "I love you's!" he yelled and the kisses he lovingly blew during the rest of the live. Basically if you want to know the band you love loves you back very very much indeed, then please to choose GLAY.
It was really packed last night, and GLAY were more aggressive. Hisashi spun around more, Takuro came to our side less, but Jiro came out front more! I caught Jiro's eyes a couple of times! Even when he's standing in the back, he's looking out, smiling, and I waved to him, and he gave a little nod! JIRO!!!!!!! <3 Jiro, Teru, and Takuro make a lot of eye contact, but that princess, Hisashi, doesn't look at anyone. I surveyed fans, and no one managed to look him in the eye. He kind of looks off in the distance but he still interacts a lot with the crowd. He kept giving us thumbs up!
The setlist last night was the same except they subbed GLORIOUS for SURVIVAL. I am loving RUN and Synchronicity now. And VERB is a super kickass live song, the guitars are glorious on that and More Than Love, and Kanojo no Modern. The dual guitars in Kanojo are always so good. Hisa's Yuuwaku solo is so good it hurts.
The last encore song was I'm in Love and the audience sang it for a long time. That song has never been one of my favorites, but I can see why it's so nice live.
Jiro personally put a pick into the hand of one of his hardcore fans. He also took pictures of us at the end of the live. Hisashi threw exactly 2 picks, one of which hit a light and fell right back at his feet. *snerk* And GLAY took a photo with the audience too. They all sat down in a row with their back to the audience. Teru: "Say cheese!!"
Oh yeah, last night Takuro talked! He said "Do you want more GLAY?? DO YOU WANT MORE GLAY??" lol. And Teru took off his shirt!!!! First he just unbuttoned it all the way and a chorus of kyaaaas came from the right. Then an assistant was helping him take the whole thing off and he was shirtless for the last song before the encore. Anyways, Teru definitely has an evenly tanned bod worthy of shirtlessness. The tattoo above his heart is sexy too.
Last night, Glay played for about 2.5 epic hours. But both shows were exhilarating, just so much fun. Their songs are the best live songs ever, cos there are so many parts to shout along. ACID HEAD, and SHUTTER SPEEDS, and Kanojo, and Highcommunications, and so MANY songs will have normally reserved people jumping and screaming and punching the air like maniacs.
Glay were really high last night, though I loved the first night too, cos it was more relaxing. Plenty of Teruhisa action too. They are adorable; you can tell Hisa is really used to being grabbed and dragged around by Teru. Teru didn't suck his finger but he molested his hair and the mic stand.
At the end, Teru said "I will be back! WE will be back! Zettai zettai we'll be back!" Let's hope he doesn't listen to the person yelling "Come to New York!" which got a quiet "Oh New York! Yes, I have to go...." from Teru (no you don't Teru. just keep coming here). someone yelled for Glay to got to Texas too! When they were up front saying goodbye, Jiro made a chipmunk face and waved furiously on purpose. & Takuro really is sexy, he was great last night, though he hardly came over. :(
The crowd was a bit less considerate last night. Most people were fine, but some guys started shoving each other on purpose & a girl fell. & someone tried to crowd surf (ended in total failure).
I think everyone wore the same outfit but Hisa changed the shirt under his long coat and instead of the red plaid around his waist he had something black. And for the encore, he wore another coat, a hooded one with a glittery skull on the sleeve. That silver hair is definitely a wig; it wasn't on as well last night, plus a girl told me she saw him entering the House of Blues at 4pm and she snapped a pic - his hair was black!
Apparently on Friday, Teru arrived at 2 pm and took some pics himself. One girl saw him, and tentatively accosted him. Apparently he was all awkward and "oh....hello. see you at the show." Hee. Fans told me they saw Hisashi leaving after the show on Friday night with a beer "and I don't think it was his first, second, or third beer either." He was apparently in a "whoo!" state oh Hisa lol.
So last night I determined to stake out Glay leaving. Unfortunately there were rather a lot of ppl waiting for them last night. I saw Hisa coming out (in a hat and sunglasses and camo green shirt and looking ADORABLE) and was so enrapt I didn't see the rest follow (Takuro, Jiro, and Teru). Also security did some serious blocking so my space was right outside the (tinted) van window, the kind which passengers can't roll down. So I only could make out a glimpse of Hisashi (with a can of beer!!!) inside, and Teru sat next to him, and I could barely see Takuro and Jiro in the front. We waved, but for all I know, I was waving mostly at Toshi the Snoopy lover.
And oh man, I haven't even gotten to everything yet (Hisashi). I'll save the drooling for the next post. I am just so so so so grateful to Glay for coming. They are amazing!
Teru blogged, and he noted they didn't sell out. T_T i don't think they sold out last year but they came anyways. because THEY LOVE US. but really their team didn't publicize here at all. I would do everything in my power to promote them if I could, for free - they should work with fans next time to do so!
