"Scorpio is hell on wheels when experiencing negative emotions. They become extremely hostile when angry and isolated when sad. They can swing between emotions violently."
Boy, you can say that again!! Typically, I don't put too much stock in horoscopes & such, but I have anyways felt I am a true-blue Scorpio. I've highlighted traits I think are particularly applicable to me personally.
"Scorpio is sensitive but keeps their emotions hidden. Your need for privacy can cause emotions to build up. To keep stress from creeping in, express how you feel. Let people have it if they deserve it. Just don't bottle it all up."
Gee, ya think?! HA! Hence, what you're currently reading. ;)
"Scorpio tends to be the most demanding and controlling over people and things. You hate change and have trouble forgiving. The latter in particular is something worth working on. Learn to let things go."
Well, ok, sure! Now how exactly do I go about that? I've honestly wondered if I even have to ability to forgive. Example: my father. I have so much animosity towards him to this day.
"Hell hath no fury like a Scorpio scorned. They're passionate but tend to be manipulative and fiery. For them, bad moods are a baseline. Down is the only direction from there."
Not sure any of that is me. Gawd, I hope not!!
"Scorpio's biggest fear is betrayal by a loved one."
100% accurate. :/
One final quote:
"Archetype 5: The Seeker/Warrior
Your inner seeker wants to explore the unknown. You have a strong intuition that there is something bigger and greater beyond your own reality. You embrace learning and are ambitious, although your perfectionist nature sometimes reaches too high and you end up disappointed. Your inner warrior is courageous, tough and always persistent. You aim to bring meaning to your own life and to others’ through your actions and behavior.
Life Goals: Search for a better way, winning
Fear: Conformity, entrapment, weakness, failure
Response to Problems: Escaping, fighting if the reward is great enough
Life Tasks: See the world, be a strong person
Personal Gifts: Autonomy, ambition, identity, courage, discipline
Personal Pitfalls: Inability to commit, chronic disappointment, arrogance, ruthless"
This is surprisingly true, all but the pitfalls bit. Oh dear, I have my fair share of them, but maybe besides the chronic disappointment, these are not mine. Those have been properly chronicled elsewhere, in this post & others.
I enjoy reading things like this, it helps me understand me better. :)
