Crane
Had an interesting dream last night. I was at a park of somesort, filled with many different kinds of waterfowl. One male bird, which looked like a whooping crane but only came up to about my chest, kept following me around. I could "hear" words in his actions and he was trying to herd me away from the other male birds. I said to the bird, "I'm a human, you know," but he kept up his determined herding act.
When I made to leave, the stupid bird still wouldn't let up and ended up following me all the way home. When i got into bed, the bird jumped up too and nestled himself in the corner folds of my blanket! This annoyed me. I don't even let my dog on my bed. but eventually, i gave up, tried to just ignore the persistant bird. But just as I as about to fall asleep, the bird moved to my other side and lay down next to me. He draped his wings over my shoulders (I has lying on my stomach without a blanket) and his wings felt strangely warm and comforting. I couldn't help thinking how much his wings felt like arms around me. before drifting off, I mentally thanked the bird and mused at how nice it felt to be held and now much i needed it.
the next morning, I still felt the comforting warmth around me, but it wasn't light as a wing should feel. rather, it was a tighter, heavier feeling. I turn over and see that it's no longer a crane next to me but well... a person. I don't remember if I freaked out in the dream or not but I remember pushing him into a corner and quickly shutting the open door becuase i could hear my mom and dad walking around. If they happened to see that I had a guy in my room, things would get pretty bad. As I looked through my closet for clothes that would fit him, I asked him what had happened. He said that he'd changed for me. I told him that this really wasn't a good thing and asked him if he could change back. He just looked down sadly and i knew this was a permanent change. (He was sooo SWEET and CUTE and and and AAAWWWWWW) I dropped what i was doing and just hugged him for awhile. This change wasn't going to be easy for him either. But I CAN'T have a random guy following me around, and i'm going to school soon. He said he'd follow me... though he couldn't fly anymore... and knew nothing about being human...
