chapter 1.5?
not exactly sure where i'm going to put this but for now, it's chapter 1.5 becuase it occurs while Jisun and Alice are still unconcious in the hospital but i think i want it read after chapter 2.
*there are three basic levels of ninja
genin = student
chunin = next level up, can teach pre-genin, lead, harder missions
jounin = highest level, can teach 3 man team of genin, even harder missions, can be ANBU
A few hours after the ANBU team arrives in Konoha
“Yes, coming. Coming.” A bearded man hobbled to the heavy door from which the demanding knocks had emanateed. “Ah, Hokage-sama. The scroll? Was it safely delivered? Ack!” The man shrieked he was pushed backward into the room by the angry Kage.
“Actually, I’m not sure. Two of the four scrolls that were given to my ANBU were intercepted.” Tsunade towered above the lab coat donned man with her hands on her hips and casual tone a sarcastic pretense.
“Well, let’s just hope that one of the remaining two is the one we need.” The man chuckled nervously and almost screeched again as the Hokage took a step towards him.
“I hate lies, Doctor. I hate people who tell them and those who force me to tell them,” She took another step and the man fairly scampered along the long lab table to sustain the distance between them. “And unfortunately, Doctor,” her hand shot out to stop the retreating man with a deft jerk on his coat, “I have a feeling you’ve become both.”
“H-h-h- Hokage-sama, please I…” tiny pearls of sweat began to bead amongst the man’s thinning hair as honey colored eyes glinted dangerously at him.
“This mission has cost me, Doctor. It caused two of my Jounin to suffer irreparable damage!”
The man gaped, stuttering almost beyond comprehension, “B-b-b but, their b- bodies, we’re th-th- they retrieved? They d-didn’t-?!”
If the Hokage was furious before, after seeing the man’s reaction, the Sanin now seemed ready to explode. Her eyes narrowed and clenched teeth bared viciously as her fingers coiled even more tightly around the man’s collar.
“H-H- Hokage-sama!!!” The man knew he had made a mistake and squirmed in her iron grip, seeming willing to gnaw through his arm if just to get away.
But Tsunade jerked him closer to her livid face as he tried to shrink away into his clothes, “No more lies, Doctor. While you’re here, you are under my jurisdiction. If you don’t wish to end up like my ANBU, I suggest you tell me everything you know about what is happening to her!”
