As some of you are aware, back in May the Maine Legislature passed a bill, that the Governor then signed into law, allowing same-sex marriage. Since then, Stand For Marriage Maine formed. Maine's Marriage Equality Bill has passed the House! Now for the Governor's signature, and that is looking fairly promising.

ETA: Whoops, sorry. It has to go back to the Senate for final approval, apparently, then to the Governor. The Senate vote shouldn't be more than a formality, I wouldn't think, as it passed with such a wide margin to ( Read more... )
