As you probably know (because I rarely shut up about it :-) I live in Colorado, which in addition to being The Most Awesome State is also "voting" in the Super Tuesday primary - "voting" in quotes because Colorado is a universal absentee ballot state, so most vote by mail/drop-off before Election Day. I'm using my Lagertha icon because Vikings (see below), but really, it encapsulates how I feel this morning after Election Day. I'm delighted we took the House, less delighted at other outcomes around the country, but here in Colorado we progressives are celebrating. ( Purple state turning bluer. )

• My little town had a March For Our Lives event! B and I were recruited into helping with traffic safety so we wore city-provided neon green vests and first stood, then walked alongside the marchers, making sure that everyone stayed on the sidewalk and that cars didn't hit anyone. • If you have an Android phone you can turn on the flashlight by hitting the mic button/saying "OK Google" and then saying "Lumos!" And of course, it turns off with "Nox!". This pleases my geeky little heart! (via a Facebook friend, who I know from fandom :-)

While the Republicans had record low turnout due to the really stupid decision to have no preference poll, and elect only uncommitted delegates, Democratic precincts had record high turnout.
