wednesday reads n' things

What I'm currently reading:

I am about 25% into The Round House by Louise Erdrich. It's incredibly evocative, but also, incredibly depressing and angry-making. (It's set on the Ojibwe reservation in North Dakota - the author's mother is Ojibwe - and is about a young teenage boy coping with the aftermath of a brutal attack on his mother.)

I am nearly done with listening to The Story of Gösta Berling by Selma Lagerlöf - at least, I have listened to 31 chapters out of 38, but as they vary widely in length, I don't know how close I am to the end!

What I'm reading next:

I have the ARC of Harrow the Ninth, eeeee!

What I'm watching now:

We are about halfway through S4 of The Expanse, and I have to say, this season is at the top of its game. The changes to the book-canon we've noticed have all made sense for a TV presentation, and the episodes are consistently sharp and high-stakes. Also, ahahaha Burn Gorman! (I loved him so in Turn. And I am imagining a crossover in which Chrisjen Avasarala and Geralt of Rivia sit across the table from each other and say nothing but "Fuck!")

ETA: Oops, forgot to say: I also watched the first episode of The Untamed. I have no idea wtf is going on, but pretty.

What I'm playing now:

I decided to take a break from the combat-adventure style of game and started playing Obduction, which I got for free from a gog.com deal. I am enjoying it a lot - the styling and scenery is fantastic, and it's pretty cool to have a story slowly emerge from the clues. I got stuck a few times and (fortunately) found a hints site which I prefer to a complete walkthrough type site - there were two things I completely didn't figure out and the hints were very helpful, but then I used another hint that I really should have been able to figure out on my own, so I shall force myself to not look at hints until/unless I'm desperate.
