Actual female role models get the Disney princess treatment - an ironic nod to the perception that awesome women have skinny waists and great hair and sparkly clothes...
...because after all, what about the Miss Universe contestants in their 'national' costumes? All the feathers in the world have been used now. Also, USA WTF? My favorites are Israel, Lebanon, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Speaking of beauty, this short video The Beauty of Mathematics is about the math behind the science behind the patterns of the world. It's really nice and worth watching full-screen.
Speaking of geeky videos, the 2013 Dance your Ph.D. finalists have been selected. These have become much slicker video productions in the past couple of years, but they're still very cool. I haven't watched all of them (and have not been going in order) but so far my favorites are "The Bioeconomic Implications of Climate Change on Fisheries" and "Sperm competition between brothers and female choice."
