What I just finished reading: the first two Adrien English (m/m) mysteries, by Josh Lanyon. I liked the second one better; in fact I liked it a whole lot. Also, assuming Josh Lanyon is indeed male, this is the hottest-to-me male-written profic m/m sex I've read so far. (In my reading, there has been a distinct divide between gay fiction and slash fiction. This neatly bridges the gap.)
What I'm reading now: Wicked Gentlemen by Ginn Hale. I enjoyed the first story okay, but didn't love it. Let's see how the second one does.
What I'm reading next: Either Captain Vorpatril's Alliance, or the first book of the Coldfire trilogy. Or something else. I'm feeling the need to get back to nonfiction.
I'm also reading the SSBB femslash stories, as I mentioned last post. What I'm not reading is fanfiction. I recently attempted and abandoned three different long AUs (in three different fandoms); I am just not feeling the fanfiction, I guess.
Cat report: Henry is sprawled on my desk next to me. He seems to be an okay cat so far, although he fails at catness with respect to boxes and laps. Last night while we watched The Tudors he did deign to sit on my shins, which were propped up on the ottoman. I suppose that's a start.
