Point me to some really good fic, then! Because I watched about four episodes and...um...it was kind of dumb. But I love westerns, and the characters were adorable.

Vegas Odyssey by Sammy Girl - Ezra/Buck. Minor crossover with CSI. ATF AU.

Camino del Diablo vampire!au thing.

[Committed] to memory and Committed [to memory] both by cobalt. Ezra/Vin, ATF AU. Flashbacks, in the first one, and stays mainly there, with vin/ezra as teenagers.

And I believe that is just to start (I mean, it's hard to chose fics, especially with the amount of AU's. There's the star wars one, the star trek, the camelot one, there's the generic fantasy (really good, almost complete), the 7 brothers (all 7 are related), the kid!au's, the x-men one.... And I haven't read close to a fraction just because of my decided Ezra preference. Mhmmm, ezra. JD is awesome too, but it is hard to find ezra/jd fic.

Ooh, thanks! Except...I don't know that I want the AU so much as I want the crazy cowboy world. Because that's what attracts me to this fandom - cowboys are YAY!

there's like a million more AU things than oldwest. On the other hand, they are still cowboys. just modern day ones. *g*
