shallow thoughts on SGA 3x17 "Sunday"
No major spoilers in this post; I'll leave those to people with deep thoughts. This is mostly just shippiness squee.
I want to point out that in the opening conversation, Teyla is talking to Dr. Houston. She says, "You know him better than I do." Then, later it's revealed that Dr. Houston works for Rodney. So clearly, the "oblivious" man that Teyla has a crush on is Rodney! (Okay, a case could be made for Zelenka. Which would still be cool!) I'd also like to point out that the conversation between Elizabeth and the cute guy (what? he is!) basically confirms what I've been saying for years - basically, everyone in Atlantis works for her, therefore, Elizabeth/anyone is impossible. Therefore, Elizabeth/Halling, although I wouldn't mind the strategic alliance of Elizabeth/Ladon. Not that I minded Elizabeth/that cute guy. I also knew instantly that the ep must have been written by Martin Gero when John asked Ronon if he was dating anyone. "Like a woman?" "Or a man." Hee!
In conclusion: Rodney/Teyla, Elizabeth/some cute alien guy, John/Ronon.
Oh, and I wanted to mention that the 700MB HTDV torrent seemed to work fine with no synch problems on my computer, both before and after applying the synch patch that's available. Not that I would condone illegal media downloads, of course.
