the quarter (plus a little) in fic

Apr 07, 2006 16:55

Inspired by recent posts from musesfool and prillalar, not to mention china_shop's interesting graphical summaries of what she's written lately, I thought I'd list what I've posted since the first of the year and look at trends and statistics. (And hey, if you missed one, you can catch up, because you want to read all my stories, don't you?) I'm cheating a little by ( Read more... )

navel-gazing, statistics, random silliness, fic, writing

Theory/Practice is popular because it's an exceptionally excellent story. And its popularity restores my faith in humanity. :-)

Aw, thanks for the kind words. It's odd for me, because it's not a plot-driven story (well, not an overtly plot-driven story, but there is kind of an inferrable plot). I would say that it's not my typical style, but I think it's fairly clear I don't really have one :-)

It's the structure that makes it so amazing for me. :-) Yes, I have a structure kink. *hides*

Heh, I have quite a bit of structure kink too. Almost all my stories (all the ones I'm proud of!) have a fairly strong underlying structure, and quite a few of them have exposed skeletons like this one. In fact idlerat wrote an essay about the formalist element in some of my stories!

Callumosity. I'm going to start measuring everything according to Callumosity. "Wanna go to lunch?" "Nah, seems like that would be low in Callumosity. Bring me back something, though."

Love the GIP, and omg, Flesh and Bone YES PLZ. Leoben!

Callumosity! It's just like luminosity, only even more shiny!!!

And yeah, now I'm going back to c_regalis's list of Kara/Leoben because I get it.

Oh my God. Pie charts. Colored pie charts. Multiple colored pie charts. You are so off-the-pie-charts insane that I just, just want to do unmentionable things to your insane little furry head. I'm afraid my pie chart would look pretty demented, too, however.

All my stuff is what you would have to call low in Callumosity, high in fat. So, seriously, this guy? You think he is the sexiest thing you have ever encountered ANYWHERE? Like, sexier than Hewlett sexy?

I'd point you to scriggle's picspam except I think it's flocked. I think he is the sexiest thing in the universe. SEXY. And if he and Hewlett were in the same room with me I would simply explode.

*squints*

Yeah, I guess I do. I mean, I don't UN-see it. It's just, I have no static visual reference for sexy. Zero. I'm like a tyrannosaur that way -- if it doesn't move, I can't see it. It very well could be that after a couple of dS eppies I'd be slavering like a hound dog tied in a hot yard in August, but just looking at the pictures, even when I can tell that they are of a generally non-ugly person, tells me nothing. Like the first stills I saw of David Hewlett, and I thought, are you freaking kidding me? And then he walked onto a scene and I said, ohhh. I see now.

I need another fandom (with source to watch, that is....) like a hole in my head! But it seems like an awfully fine show.

It is an *awesome* show.

And it's chock full of Canadian too!

How much have you seen so far?

Heh, I have just seen this episode. But I'm going to see if I can locate the first two seasons so I can watch them bit by bit this summer and next fall.

Aww, yay! Pie charts!

Your callumosity chart made me shriek with laughter. (If I did that, it'd just be a big round circle. No segments.)

Yeah, and that's what we love about you! (Hint! I am using my Ray/Ray icon in SUBTLE ENCOURAGEMENT!)

I'm still an SGA fan - and if Callum guest-starred on SGA I would die of squee.

That's VERY SUBTLE! Heh. (I just have to finish this pwp, and then, and then...)
