Other shit I forgot to mention...
1) My grandmother needs knee replacement surgery and is refusing to have it. She'll be in a wheelchair in a matter of months and we don't know what will happen then. She lives by herself and I sincerely doubt that she'll be able to continue to do so.
2) My great-uncle Jack has lung cancer and just found out. He's got a tumor about the size of a lemon. Very bad. They're starting him on chemo, but I doubt his prospects are good. They can't operate on it and he's already lost so much weight that his dentures don't fit him anymore.
3) (Something upbeat finally!) Ava went to a birthday party on Saturday, for Dan's friend's little boy who was turning 2. She was entranced by the other kids and was generally adorable. Oh, and the birthday boy seemed to have fun, too.
