People don’t like her. She knows, here, it’s because they don’t trust her. But, truth be told, people have never been very fond of her. It’s because she’s pushy and she likes to get her way. She likes to get the things she wants.
There’s something about him. Something that makes her think he knows how that feels.
She kisses him on New Years, just because. He’s confused but he’s hardly the kind of man to turn her down.
“What was that about?” he asks.
“It was what I wanted,” she tells him, then walks away without turning back around.
