Author's Note: For gottalovev, for the luau at lostsquee. This loosely fits the vacation prompt, but you might have to squint at it a little. I also aged Alex up a few years so I didn't feel creepy.

This was really good. You have a pretty excellent Alex voice I have to say! It was short but it covered a lot of things, and all of your/her observations were definitely IC. Especially her being forced to grow up too fast and the paradise/not paradise. Sawyer's ambiguity was also very well played.

I really feel for Alex here, because I am sure she has those dreams and being trapped must be quite awful. I'd get tired of the beach too, if it was the only thing I could ever see (I think?)

Sawyer probably means what he says too, but that Alex is in it with her eyes open is best.

I think, if I were Alex, I would dream about what the real world was like. I think she'd resent the place a lot less if she knew she could leave if she wanted to. But she hates Ben, and he's keeping her there, so it makes sense she'd hate the island too.

This was a creative take on the prompt. Reading these two interacting together is always interesting.

That's rather heartbreaking when you know what happens to Alex, but it's very bittersweet, despite her loss of innocence. Very nice!
