And all the awkwardness between Jack and Sawyer is sweet.
I love how their feelings are trying to surface, like in this part:
He wonders how, after a lifetime of stuffing every emotion he feels down deep inside of him, he suddenly feels out of practice. He wonders why he’s letting this guy, this guy he doesn’t even really know, overwhelm him

You don't suck, hun. :) I put that up there for a reason, because I wanted people to know what they were getting into. I couldn't just jump into the Jack/Sawyer bits -- this is a bit plot-heavy, where as some of my other stories/series have been character-heavy -- and I wanted to give people an out, just in case they weren't interested in waiting around for a series to get where it was going. I don't hold the fact that you weren't sure against you, believe me.
Anyway, now that I am finally all caught up with it, I'm really loving this. Something about it sort of feels Firefly-ish, is that possible?
