av The last few days have been fun. It hasn't really sunk in yet that I've done all my exams and I'm not going back to school this year. I think my life is dictated by routine (translation: I have really bad OCD) so not going to school and not seeing the people that I've seen daily for the last year, but at the same time not being on holiday is really weird. But yeah. Work experience is very much scaring me at the moment. They've put in the form that the dress code is 'casual' but how casual is casual? I mean, I'm a pretty casual person and it's going to be crap if I come in wearing jeans and everyone else is in a suit or something.
Going into year 11 next year is going to be well weird too. Incidentally, do any ex-Grey Coat Year 11s have a blue Year 11 jumper that they're willing to relinquish? I was characteristically absent-minded and forgot to give in my cheque.
On Thursday I did my art exam (how is gridding up and resizing pictures art?) and then everyone got all sad about how Mr. Mataya was leaving. Almost all the decent teachers are leaving - Mr. Dane (after only 2 years, WTF?) and Mr. Mataya and Ms. Healy who was actually the only decent Science teacher I've ever had in my life. All I've got left are Chezzie and Ms. Thomas...
Anyway, then we all went to Ideas Club (which i think we should start calling 'Neek Club' since that's what the rest of the school calls it anyway) and ate cake and muck arounf with party poppers and talked about gay pride and Doctor Who. That was very good.
Aaand I can finally say that I now have everything I need for Kepplewray, right down to the weird joggers. And the (dear Lord) swimsuit. Again, getting stupidly nervous about the whole camp thing for no reason. Everyone there will be nice. Everyone there will be nice. That's what I'm trying to tell myself.
And Mr. Higginson has finally sorted out Duke of Edinburgh Silver. Finally.
Ooh, and this is my near future To-Do list:
Sunday: Get someone to cover for me for serving for the next two weeks. Oh, and get DofE Silver book signed.
Monday: Holy crap, first day of work experience!
Saturday: Go see Order of the Phoenix and reserve Deathly Hallows! And then go to Molly's drama gala thing and sleepover at Amy's house.
Sunday: Amy's greyhound stall thingumy.
Monday: Aaaah, more work experience.
Friday: Back to school for a 'debriefing' (makes it sound like the army) and have the end of school service. Then go queue up and go to the MuggleCast podcast!
Saturday: OMG, get the book and read the book and cry about the book and read the book some more and finish the book and squee.
Monday: Ewww, off to Jesus Camp!
