This is how it works: Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation of what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.

I was given my letter by
kewen.

M

1) Me (Margaret)
First and foremost! Being notoriously selfish, this would be in my list. I don't like myself, but I think I deserved a mention.

2) Mates
Okay, so I don't use this word much, but my friends are so important to me (I love you guys!).

3) Magic
I am as of yet uncertain about whether or not magic actually exists, but I suspect it does. I wish I could use it. Oh, and this also ties into my very sad fantasy obsession...

4) Manga
A Japanese art style, often made into comic books. Oh yes, manga is very pretty and happysad and I found out about it in year seven, young and easily corruptable as I was. The new Tsubasa is supposed to be out now! ^___^

5) Metropolis
I am undoubtedly a city girl. I have never once lived outside of a city/large town, even before I moved to London. That's not to say I don't like the countryside, I do, I enjoy it very, very much, but I can't say that I want to live out of the city. It just seems to make me feel much more secure.

6) Muji
A Japanese shop that mainly sells stationary, but also everything else. It's not very colourful, but its stuff is always very cute and they sell nice cheap sketchbooks.

7) Music
How could I not make a reference to this? Music is a beautiful thing and it makes you very happysad, or just sad. Classical is pretty and punk rock is fun. And indie. And yeah, music is cool. Listen to Iggy Pop.

8) MP3 Player
Okay, at the moment I'm running out of words. This links into number seven (obviously) and I have a pretty mp3 player which one day, i sat on so now the screen is all cracked, which earned it the name Mr. Chad 'Smashy-smashy' Smith, thank you Maria.

9) Mind
The mind is mightier than the sword. Okay, so it's the pen, but the mind controls what the pen does, doesn't it? Sometimes it's nice to just think about stuff, and sort things out in your head. I suppose it's a form of meditation. I like meditating. I can't do it on purpose, I just sometimes slip into a trance and come out ten minutes later and realise that I probably haven't blinked for quite a long time.

10) Max
Max is my male alter-ego. He is much cooler than me, but has a much shorter temper. He's also kind of angsty. Don't mess with Max.

And I doubt anyone's going to reply to this but I feel obliged to post it:

How many times has someone on your friends list posted about something and you were really confused, but you didn't want to ask because you knew you SHOULD know? How many times have you felt guilty asking an LJ friend a question that should be obvious?

Well, here's your chance.

If you've missed a few things, missed an entry and are confused, ask me anything. Even something EXTREMELY basic, like where I live! I'm not allowed to get even slightly irritated at any of the questions - we've all missed things before.

I have discovered that we own a Beach Boys record, that is not on Vinyl, so I shall go and put that on Mr. Smashy, my mp3 player.

But first, I'm off to watch Doctor Who that I taped...

beach boys, doctor who, weird, music
