Did I mention she's my WIFE?

Yeah, so last Friday I had my FINAL GCSE EXAM HOMGOSH. It was science, and I totally flopped and guessed all the answers, but at this point I NO LONGER CARE. AND I REFUSE TO CARE UNTIL THE RESULTS COME OUT IN AUGUST. It's all good. But it does feel really weird, because that was the last day that I ever have to wear school uniform. I never, ever have to put it on again. And while that is, of course fantastic, I still feel a bit like... so was that my youth gone? I am no longer a proper schoolgirl. Which is SO weird. I feel old and I hate feeling old and I hate that stuff is going by so fast at the moment that I'm scared tomorrow I'll wake up and be a thirty-five year old working in an office with 2.4 children. Ew.

On a lighter note, I went to a wedding! It was for my godsister Ellen and Paul and it was so adorable, wow. AND I WAS A BRIDESMAID LOLOL. It was great, especially since I really couldn't walk properly because my shoes didn't fit. Journey there wasn't great since the whole of Waterloo Station was packed with sloanes on their way to Ascot. It was enough to bring out my inner Karl Marx.

But yeah, I was a little worried since the only people that I knew there were my parents, the couple and the bride's parents and brother. But it was cool because everyone was so incredibly nice and friendly and sweet. The service happened at the church in Basingstoke (which is, unfortunately, exactly the craphole I remember it to be) where I lived until I was ten, so I had a miriad of old ladies coming up to me and telling me that they could remember me when I was this tall, and I had to pretend that I could remember who on earth they were and say, "Oh yes, it's lovely to see you again too!"

But generally it was an awesome mix of dorky Internetz peoplez who made Monty Python quotes and talked to me about LotR and Doctor Who. The maid of honour was, incidentally, a man who was referred to as 'the male of honour'. And when Paul came out of the church after the ceremony, he performed the traditional post-wedding high-five with the best man and yelled, "I am MADE OF WIN!" Ah, love.

Reception was also good, was sat in between Edward and Andrew, the most adorably camp couple ever. With amazing Canadian accents. And after I mentioned that my dad was the vicar who'd done the ceremony, Edward got really nervous and was like, "Oh... so... are your parents religious then?" and you could really tell he thought I was going to be a scary prejudiced evangelical. But we got over that.

It was awesome.

Ooooh, and I watched this weekend's Doctor Who. Wow, it's all getting quite sinister. But hooray for Jack&Ianto in the next episode - it will be a nice way of staving off the Torchwood withdrawal symptoms.

And tomorrow I don a dress and fancy shoes and go into school with the rest of my year for NRA day, where the teachers attempt to justify my presence at the school and reveal how little I have done. Yay!
