[Trans] Ori-Sta 2010.06.28 - KAT-TUN

Nov 03, 2010 23:50

I stop for a bit my struggle against Twitter (LOL!) to post this! (btw, if you want you find my account on my profile page ^.^ I'd be glad to get in touch with other fans!)
I think this is the last translation I've done this summer which I talked about in the first trans I posted here. So if you've requests for old issues never translated before, I ( Read more... )

Don't worry, I love to read this kind of discussion. They're in a certain way illuminating, sometimes ^^

For example, your sentence about the "escaping and taking a ride" etc, reminds me ONCE AGAIN that recently he's continuously saying these messages, in a way or another, in different contexts (even in the last Myojo interview, where he wrote that list of tool etc). I guess that this is a "proof" that Sweet is written by his own hand (with help, maybe, since he said this by himself even in this ori-sta).
Moreover, (since you cited it in a comment below XD), I have to say that at first listening I didn't like Aishiteiru Kara either. Too much honey overflowing for my tastes XD Then, I started to like it when I saw his last performance @SC: he sang that song with so much passion, and for the first time I have really paid attention to the lyrics, that I almost shed tears ;_; If he wrote that song thinking about a woman, that girl is absolutely lucky. Sentences like "I want to send to your heart my gratitude/thanks", "you have taught me lots of thing like I'm not alone"... they're not so immediate nor are phrases that a young boy would normally say.
Then, my little mind connected that even Namakaru's song has a really deep meaning of love: couples in their period of "ennui"... isn't a difficult yet real theme? The songs that KT's members are writing by themselves are REALLY, seriously deep. And not only with critical songs like "Rabbit or wolf" or adult-like in a sexual way like "Make you wet", but even on a simple theme like "love". They're becoming mature men... and I wonder how many JE artists would dare to write these kind of songs...?

And BTW, I've understand that 1582 contains both female and male version just... 1 month ago? X°°D Shame on me. So I'm so curious to read something more about it too. moreover, is one of my favourite songs... maybe my favourite.

LOL at the end it was me that ranted! X°°D (can I add you as a friend? It seems we can have interesting discussions *_*)

ah, good. cause i just realized i like talking about the lyrics and analyzing them XD

the thing you say about escaping - i guess you do have a point there.

as for aishiteiru kara - that was a song meant to be sung live. loved it when i listened to it in fancams, but when i heard the studio version it almost got me suicidal >.< and then the SC perf again, did it justice. his voice sounds like it's filled with so much emotion and passion and everything, and you can feel it.

Sentences like "I want to send to your heart my gratitude/thanks", "you have taught me lots of thing like I'm not alone"... they're not so immediate nor are phrases that a young boy would normally say.
ah, sentences like those are the first thing that made me think how different N's lyrics were from K2's. they're so direct and simple, and yeah, corny, why not call them the way they are. but it's his own genuine way to express himself nonetheless. like, you know it's him. if he really was N, then...he'd prove he can do smth else besides blatantly expressing his feelings like that :)

but even on a simple theme like "love". They're becoming mature men... and I wonder how many JE artists would dare to write these kind of songs...?
that's so lovely put. i agree so much with it. i noticed that Maru's songs are mostly about love too. and Film and Answer are his best songs so far, imo. they do show maturity.
i wonder the same about the other idols too, now that you mentioned it. we would just have to dig around a bit. i know Nino from arashi composed songs, and nice ones, if i'm not mistaken, and Ohno had them composed by someone else. i'm not saying all of them though, i wouldn't know. and Pi has had songs composed too. and i don't know much else. ^^;

And BTW, I've understand that 1582 contains both female and male version just... 1 month ago? X°°D Shame on me. So I'm so curious to read something more about it too. moreover, is one of my favourite songs... maybe my favourite.
lol, don't worry, there's so much to find out when you're in a fandom like this one. how long have you been a fan though? i'm asking cause you just popped out of nowhere recently with your blessed translations. hadn't seen you around before :P
the thing with Ichigopantsu is that the album version was supposed to be the story of a sorrowful woman in love, as kame said it in his radio back then. and the live version, well, you saw how different it was. do you have the lyrics to both versions, so you can compare? :) it should be easier to understand that way.

and sure you can add, i'd be glad to friend you :) just be careful, i can understand Italian, so if there's smth personal you don't want me to see it would be no help for you. i won't take offense if you change your mind :)

Yeah, we're on the same boat LOL!

You're right when you say that Aishiteiru kara changes a lot from studio vers to live vers. I guess this is why I didn't like it at first (since I didn't watch the fancams before CD release).
I was thinking that maybe even the penname change is a way to show his "character change" (can I say this? XD LOL XD). That is, K2 songs and N songs are similar yet different. Maybe he wanted to separate them in a some way.but why N? For Nashi? And why he doesn't say it out aloud if in the meanwhile he gives hints like this one?. This is odd. °_° I'm waiting for the day he will clearly give us an explanation! XD
I agree on Maru's song too! I'm not an Arashi fan so I can't express myself on that topic though :) And about 1582: so he did say it on radio! That was the piece I missed to be able to understand =P I'll search both lyrics and compare! Sankyu! ^^

How long... around 1 year and some months? Lol I feel so "young" compared to other fans XD Erm, I'm a bit (bit? XD) shy, so I've never been active in the fandom, even if I was reading communities everyday XD Even posting these translations, it took me days to really copy them from Word and publish them XD You know, during my silent observation, I noticed that for example NEWS fandom has lots of quick and fantastic translators, when something is published after 2 hours there's a trans, and KT fandom didn't seem to have something like that (maybe I'm guessing wrong XD This is why I always ask if a translation was already done by someone else, since I don't think that exists a sort of "trans index" like other fandoms). That is, didn't seem to have someone who really cared about sharing not only pictures, but even what they were saying... And since their interviews are really interesting and they deserve love, it was a pity. Then I found going_gonin community, where I found trans by other girls... and I thought "Oh maybe it's my turn too" XD So I popped out of nowhere, yeah XD I suppose it must have been weird LOL XD
Oh my I went terribly OT! X°°D
No prob at all, I don't write entries in italian here, only answers to comments in italian =P Thanks! ^^ So you understand Italian too... funny XD

oh that makes a lot of sense. the only question that would remain is the same you just put - why isn't he telling us so?
when i read scorch66's reply, she said smth about him acting cute and shy in that eppie where he composed those poems, i wonder if that's the reason he's keeping it secret. but it's not much of a reason anyway. N is a strange choice, who knows what his cute little brain thought of when he came up with it, but i'm more puzzled by the secrecy. or maybe he likes the whole mystery and attention that's turned to such a 'secret lyricist' ;))
we could speculate so much ;))

"And about 1582: so he did say it on radio! That was the piece I missed to be able to understand =P I'll search both lyrics and compare! Sankyu! ^^"
about 1582, he only talked about the album version on the radio. he didn't see anything about the live, only that he was concerned he wouldn't make ppl feel disgusted and such :) if you can't find both versions, lemme know and i'll look for them in my folders :)

what you say about translations is true...idk why there are so few translators...aside from you, i know anneonet and nono96 who are really good, and recently zurui_koi popped out of nowhere too :P there's daphuni who used to do lots of translations, if you check her lj you'll see. oh and yuijbj too came recently and made our fandom a better place XDD
so yeah, not many translators, only few, and those are busy with their lives. i noticed there are so many interviews too...i picked some old texts and crosstalks to romanize and look up the words because i was too curious about them. a lot of their articles may center around food and work/drama talk (or maybe that was my bad luck in coming across them =.=), but sometimes there're also little precious gems in there. like this kame 2008 interview where he talks too much orz about his exercising regime (but also about how he'd get bored of it and call up kouhais to do it together, so that way he'd become competitive and actually do the exercises well) and then about the obligatory subject in a Japanese talk/show - food, but also about his precious summer time and surfing, how he feels blessed by nature and gets power from it, how nice he feels in the morning breeze, how at night he'd be happy just if he could say 'what a beautiful moon'...i may be just a silly sap but i really liked those parts.
sigh. so many interviews. it's a shame really.

btw i was wondering how do you do your translations? do you read kanjis naturally, or do you look them up? cause to me, that's the killer part. and you mentioned smth about receiving help if offered. i could look them up for you instead, that's the only way i can see myself helping. but if you already read them then... ;))

I bet it's this one XD Even though the "shy" reason is pretty cute too =P

No it's true XD They talk about food most of the time - when they don't discuss about albums, cons, etc. Now I understand why Kame (and Koki and Ueda, IMHO) are becoming fat XD But I love how now he looks healthy anyway. ♥

Oh yeah, we translators are here to make fandom a better place! ♥
*Seeing that daphuni did this issue too LOL! XD This is my punishment for doing things without making them public!*
Kanjis aren't a real problem to me, sometimes it's slang, or I find a translation difficult because I lose my way due to their sudden change of topics °_° Damned brats XD
Thanks for the help anyway, dear! *hugs* If you've some interviews never done that you think may be interesting, let me know! ^^
