Car Woes

The car I drive (2001 Hyundai Elantra) is probably worth no more than $500. I brought it to the shop today with electrical issues.

New Alternator: $200 and change
New Battery: ~$100
New 100-amp Fuse: $20-30
Labor: ~$130
Total Estimate: $545 + tax.

I hate my car. It's the 21st Century! Where the hell is my flying car?!?
