“Thank you for your hard work,” he says that to all his co-workers while bowing slightly before turning around and leave the office. He heard there’re replies to his but he doesn’t really hear it. There’s just one thing in his mind right now. A face of certain someone to be exact, someone who’s always occupying his heart (and mind if he’s not too absorb in his work) for he even doesn’t remember when.
He walks out from the building and unconsciously heads to where his foots take him to every time these days come. The days when the snow falls down and reminds him of that person.
It was the first day of the snow. The snow just felt down this morning. He remember saw it first when he was preparing his work and took a glance at the window. And just like that, in an instant that person’s face appeared inside his head. Demanding attention to every cell in his brain. He can’t help but sighed. But just a second later, he can’t help his mouth to form a fond smile.
Remembering this now, there’s also the same kind smile in his face. He chuckles a bit and shakes his head. While his foots still take him in auto-pilot, his mind free to wonder more about that person. About how that person’s face lit up every time saw him. How that pouty lips when being teased. How the laughing sound so angelic. How they sat and leant to each other while sat down in peaceful silent, looking nothing in particular but just their interlinked hands. Oh, just how much he loves that person, he thought.
He also remembered the first time he met those lovely person. He always so sure he’s the kind of person who didn’t relied too much in fate in basically anything, including in love. But that was before he met that person. Since the first time he saw that person sketched in silence and looked so calmly peaceful. Then when their eyes suddenly met, he knew in instant that he wanted to always be near that person. He never knew he had this kind of possessive naggy feeling toward someone who he barely even knows. Just to that person only...
On the contrary, of his new found thankful in fate to be able to meet that person, he also hates fate more. Because it cruelly makes him realized he has no power to help that person who’ll become the most precious person in his entire life.

He heard the sobs. Then he sees the tears flowing down that chubby cheek. It hurts him so much. He hates himself to not be able to prevent it to happen.
“Why do you love me?”
“Why don’t I?”
“I can’t make you happy,”
“Who said that? You know just to be with you, just like this, already make me happy,”
“How can that alone be enough? It’s not fair to you,” the tears come flowing again. “Not when we both know our time together won’t be long.”
He wants to say something like, ‘no, it’s not true’ but he know it would be a lie since what the other’s saying is true. But he also doesn’t want to say something like, ‘please don’t say that’ because it would just sound as a sad plea. And he knows more than anything the other hate to be reminded over something like this. So in the end he says nothing but just wraps his arms around his lover’s shaking body and wishes the time would stop like this.

“Can’t we really stay like this longer?” the sudden question of the supposed sleeping person startles him. But what startles him more is the next question. “I don’t ask for eternity, just a little bit longer than the times left I have now. Is it possible?”

He stays beside his lover inside the bathroom, rubbing his lover’s back in a soothing way. It hurts him always in times like this when he can do nothing, while his lover certainly hurt and tired after vomits so much, except just murmurs reassuring words. If he can, he definitely will switch position with his lover. So that he can take all the sadness away from the person he loves the most.
“Hey, do you think the spring will come to us? I want it to melt away all our pain and misery,”
“The spring will come,” he positively says.
“I wonder if I’ll be melting away too...”
“Then I’ll hold you tight, so even if that happened we’ll be melting away together.”
His lover smiles weakly to him. “I don’t need anything else, then.”
