A month of hell for a few days of heaven...
Good Afternoon,
This past month, being May 2017, was just a lot of hell for me. Every two years our building shuts down the power so that important building maintenance can happen. That means that we need make sure all our systems go down gracefully and come back up with equal grace. As well it gives us a chance for a few projects that require some of our vital systems to be shutdown. Coordinating and executing this was horrible.
The shutdown went without a hitch. It was smooth like butter. The powerup and recovery sucked ass. The power was two hours late coming up and vital pieces of equipment didn't come back up. Stressful times, especially when your manger deals with stress by anger. Not a good combination.
Since the recovery, this past June 3-4th, everything has been great here. Is is a little shocking and unexpected. A lot is being done and a lot is getting done.
I could go on, but lets move along.
My Wife and I saw our good friend Tony (Tristan in the SCA) early in the month. It was great see him. Not a lot of people from the SCA in Calgary/Edmonton/Sask have kept in contact with him. We're are the only ones really. He is doing well and things are going his way.
We wanted to meet with another good friend, Nerissa, but life happened on her end. That made us sad. It is not easy to try to coordinate visit with peoples.
Onto better news, Renewed my mortgage for essentially half the insterest rate we were paying. August 11th. That is my day.
I just need business to pick up and stay constant so that more money can flow through our department.
That is about all.
