Good Morning,
I have a lot of simple pleasures that ground me. They randomly appear and make me smile. I know how simple sensory input can trigger memories, or feelings, or even just pauses in thought.
This morning it was the chaotic snow fall in south Calgary and how it randomly produce rosach like pictures on the sidewalk outside of the Somerset C-Train station. It centered me. I straightened my posture and walked with more purpose.
When I was drinking my coffee, there was the steam rising lazily off of it. The gentle cool from the slightly open window mixing with the aroma of fresh brewed (Keurig'd?) coffee.
The not so enjoyable was the bitter sting of the cold wind when walking against it. I got off of the train a stop early, because the next stop annoucements were screwed up. I hadn't walked like that outside in quite a while. I might have to start doing that, especially when I take the bus in the morning.
It only takes a moment to have all that come crashing down on you...
Cheers,
Wayne
