Swordmanship:
Because of years of fighting against Riku with wooden swords, Sora's level of sword fighting appears to be high, extending to his use of the keyblade.
Keyblade:
Sora is the Master of the Keyblade, the one chosen to fight for the side of light and protect the worlds. He is able to fight off the Heartless, for the most part, with ease thanks to it's power.
Magic:
Sora possesses the ability to use powerful magic, by channeling it through his keyblade.
These include:
- Cure / Cura / Curaga
- Fire / Fira / Firaga
- Blizzard / Blizzara / Blizzaga
- Thunder / Thundara / Thundaga
- Aero / Aerora / Aeroga
- Gravity / Gravira / Graviga
- Stop / Stopra / Stopga
- Summon
How would they use their abilities?: To help and protect people, of course. Sora is Mr. Chosen by the Keyblade, and does his best ti live up to the title as a hero, not only because of his status at the Keynlade Master, but out of genuine concern for those around him.
Appearance:
Sora looks pretty much like what you would expect from an islander. He's stands at average height for a fourteen year old, slim and only lightly muscled. His skin is tanned from days spent under the sun or swimming in the ocean.
His hair is dark brown, and apparently styled with hair cement becuase it never moves. It's stays spiky even in water. His eyes are large, and a deep blue, and very expressive.
He wears and outfit much akin to Mickey Mouse's, consisting of a red jumper, with a white, gray, and blue zippered short-sleeved minijacket over it. His hands are covered by white gloves with some metal circle thingy. Acorss his hip is a chain that holds the lucky charm Kairi gave him, and around his neck in a crown necklace. ALSO HE HAS A BLUE BELT.
And yellow clown shoes.
Background/Personality:
( Because I have yet to play it due to lack of release in English, Birth by Sleep has not been included with Sora’s history. )
Background:
Sora was born into a life of simplicity. He grew up on Destiny Islands, one tiny world among thousands. At first, he spent all of his time with Riku, his best friend. The two had a rivalry, though a friendly one. They raced, fought with wooden swords, and just hung out together, sharing the monotony of a life on an island. But one day, the monotony of their every day’s lives was broken. A girl had washed up on shore, from a different world, but with no memories. It was the arrival of this girl, Kairi, which led to the trio’s wanderlust, their desire to look for other worlds. Soon, Kairi had been brought into what was only a pair, and life continued on.
Ten years later, Sora lay on a beach, dreaming. He stands upon a platform, a voice speaking to him from the blackness. It tells him to choose a weapon, teaches him to fight, insist he not be afraid, because he is “the one who will open the door”. As Sora arrives at the final platform, he is confronted by a giant black monster formed from his shadow. He fights with the weapon he chose before, before being pulled by the shadows into darkness.
When he awakens, he is lying on the beach. A dream, he realizes, as Kairi stands above him. She accuses him of lazing around, before both are dragged off to collect supplies for the raft by Riku. A raft, he is reminded, they’re building to explore other worlds. The trio is tired of their lives on the island, Riku the most so. So, he runs around for a while collecting items. When they are all gathered, the day finally ends, and the friends retreat to an island on their play island, watching the sun as it sinks.
Later that night, a storm breaks out over the island. Sora rushes to the play island to check on the raft, only to discover that Kairi and Riku have ( apparently ) done the same. As he reaches the pay island, Sora is beseiged by shadow creatures. He fights his way through with a wooden sword, and ends up at the islet of the island quickly. There, he finds Riku, being swallowed by darkness. The older boy offers to hand, asks Sora to follow him into the darkness. But as Sora reaches for him, he is dragged away, and his friend dissapears. There is a flash of light, and then Sora is back on the islet, a new weapon in hand. We're not told what it is, but Sora continues on, now searching for Kairi. Unlike the wooden sword of before, this weapon successfully takes out the shadow creatures, easily clearing the path to the secret place. It is here that he finds Kairi, standing in front of the door he had found in an earlier exploration. As she calls his name, the door blows open, and the burst of darkness flings them both out of the cave.
Sora ( presumably ) drifts between the worlds for a while, before ending up unconscious in Traverse Town. He awakes, and makes to search through the town, unsure of where he is. The monsters from before return, ad this time he witnesses one in action, stealing of the heart of a man. Soon, he meets Leon, and after a fight...passes out again. So he awakens once again, but this time in a room at an inn. Here, everything is explained. The creatures that have been following him around are called Heartless, shadow monsters who consume the hearts of others. These creatures were attacking the hearts of worlds, such as Sora's, and destroying them. And Sora's weapon, the Keyblade, is what is attracting them. The Keyblade is a weapon of light, used to defend against the Heartless and the darkness they bring, that has chosen Sora as it's master.
In that moment, the strength of Sora's heart surges, attracting a soldier heartless. The small group flees the room, only to split up. Sora meets up with Donald and Goofy in the third district, who have been looking for "the one who holds the key" on King Mickey's orders. Together they fend off the heartless, only to be attacked by a bigger one; Grand Armor. This one too, they take down together.
Once the fight is over, Donald and Goofy request Sora come with them. He's needed to stop the heartless from devouring the worlds, and while traveling from world to world, he can find his friends! But no sad faces, Donald says, as the gummi ship runs only on happy faces! Cue Sora making the mod ridiculous face ever, and the group taking off. First stop? Olympus Coliseum!
Not a lot happens when the trio first arrives in the Olympus Coliseum. They meet Phil, a tiny centaur-thing that refuses to believe they are "Heroes". Despite this, he allows them to take part in a minor tournament, and when they win, he teaches them "Thunder". However, he refuses to let them take part in the bigger tournament. Dissapointed and sulky, Sora makes to leave the world, only to be stopped by Hades, god of the Underworld. The man gives him a pass, for reasons unknown to Sora. Sora rushes back into the coliseum and, seeing the pass, Phil lets him enter. For the seventh round, Sora is pitted against Cloud, a quiet man he had met shortly after arriving at the Olypus Coliseum. Hades, as it turns out, has a deal with Cloud. He must defeat Sora {though, given that Hades is one of the villains, he probably wants him killed} and then go on to kill Hercules, Hades enemy and Zeus's son. However, Sora makes easy work on the blond, angering Hades. He releases Cerberus, a three headed demon dog, as Cloud is taken from the Coliseum. When Hercules can no longer fight, the trio steps in. After Cerberus is defeated, Phil dubs the three junior heroes. As Hades plots his revenge, the trio sets a course for Wonderland.
Little of real importance happens in Wonderland, except for the kidnapping of Alice Liddle. Other than that, the group runs around trying to prove the girl didn't try to steal the Queen's heart, runs into a creepy talking cat, and fights a bunch of cards and a giant monster called the Trickmaster. And, we're told, Alice was kidnapped because she was something called a "Princess of Heart". Moving on!
And next we have a rather heated argument between Sora and Donals as they make their way to the Deep Jungle. There is a fight over control of the ship, and soon the trio is plunging into the trees, and separated. Sora meets a man who talks like a gorilla and who can supposedly take him to where Riku and Kairi are. Silly Sora, you don't speak Gorilla. ANYWAY. So they sidle on over to a tent where we meet Jane, Tarzan's..wife or girlfriend or SOMETHING and Clayton the hunter. They watch some slides, and Sora feels a spark of familiarity when he sees a castle. Nothing big happens for a while; Clayton tries to shoot a gorilla and gets scolded, Sora and Donald continue to be hotheaded. Then Clayton gathers the heartless to kill the Gorillas but Sora takes him down the like the awesome kid he is. And we're back to tree climbing for a while. But of course, Clayton can't keep from stirring up trouble for long, and soon Sora is fighting an invisible monster. Once he beats it, the wall falls and we see this beautiful place where, surprise!, the gorillas live. The group makes it way past the waterfalls surrounding the place. It is here Tarzan's words are explained. What he told Sora was not "friends" but the gorilla word for "heart". Friends are in the heart, he was telling Sora. And thus, the keyhole for Deep Jungle is sealed!
BACK TO TRAVERSE TOWN!
{ To save space and time, most of the worlds will be in bare sentences for the important things from here out. }
By using a red trinity, the trio is dumped in Traverse Town's second district. They ask Cid to build a gummi ship for them with the gummi block that Donald and Goofy found. Sora goes to get rained in magic by Merlin, and has the option of helping out Pooh Bear in the Hundred Acre Wood.
And he found Riku, who was jealous that he was keyblade master and felt abandoned for Sora's "new playmates", and so randomly dissapeared after Sora turned away to talk to Donald and Goofy. But, hey. He was safe! There proceeded to be another fight against a giant heartless, a reborn form of Giant Armor called Reverse Armor. But Sora and the group pwned it and headed for Agrabah.
In Agrabah, the group saves a princess. Basically: Jasmine gets kidnapped, Aladdin and Sora and Donald and Goofy save her from the Big Bad Jefar, and seal another keyhole. Nothing too important plotwise. Except that Jasmine gets kidnapped anyway, and we find out that Riku is the one doing the kidnapping.
And then everyone gets swallowed by a giant fish and Sora finds out Riku hates him. And Riku kidnaps a puppet who wants to be a real boy. Let me add that this giant fish? Is in what is the Kingdom Hearts version of outer space. So anyway, they save Pinocchio from Riku, who was attempting to use his heart to revive Kairi, and Monstro ( the fish in space ) coughs 'em up.
Right over to the most useless world of all: Atlantica. Literally nothing of importance happens in this world. It is basically the movie plot with some heartless and Sora thrown in. So let's just cut to the chase: Sora gets turned into a merman, fends off Ursula and a shark, gets yelled at by Tritan, seals the keyhole, and gets out before he gets dragged into a musical.
Halloween Town. Best world ever. It's in this world that we get to see Sora as a vampire, but it serves to give us as little info as the past three worlds. You see, Dr. Finkelstein is trying to create a heart to put in a heartless, so they will dance for the Halloween Festival-thing. But the heart gets stolen by Lock, Shock, and Barrel, who take it right over to Oogie Boogie. And Sora fights him to get it back, wins, and saves the day once again.
Thus, they fly two stars to the right and straight on 'till morning.
Now we have Neverland! With actual plot! And a Kairi.
So Sora lands on a ship, pals vanished, only to be greeted by Captain Hook and Sora's once best friend Riku! And lo and behold, behind sits Kairi, all soulless. She's lost her heart, Riku says, while Sora was playing hero with his new friends. Captain Hook blocked Sora's way to Kairi, and Riku summoned several Heartless, not listening to Sora as he warned the boy of the dangers of using the darkness. Riku creates Sora's opposite: Anti Sora. When Sora defeats his anti-self, Riku drops him through a hatch and he is reunited with Donald and Goofy. Here they meet Peter Pan, who helps them try to rescue Wendy and Kairi. Sora fights hook and seals the keyhole as Riku dissapears with their friend.
( Through Riku's point of view we find out what is going on now: Malificent has promised to return Kairi's heart if Riku will gather the "seven princesses". But, she warns him, he must be careful of how much he uses the darkness, for it will surely take over him. )
After a pit-stop in Traverse town to check on the gummi ship, Sora and pals are off to Hollow Bastion!
And so things begin to get serious.
Sora and pals find Riku talking to Beast ( from Beauty and the Beast ), who is quickly taken away as he makes to attack Riku.
Riku notices Sora. He doesn't have what it takes, he tells him, to save Kairi. It was over, and the keyblade belonged to him. In that moment, discouraged and stressed, Sora's heart weakened and the Keyblade transferred to Riku. Riku then tosses the wooden sword Sora used at the beginning of the game to him. Because they had been told by King Monkey to stay with one who held the key, Goofy and Donald follow him.
Beast and Sora than storm the castle to track them down. They end up in the chapel, and Beast is tricked into leaving. The doors slam shut, and Riku appears before Sora once again. He warned Sora that the darkness would destroy him, and took on a dark form. Sora denies this, telling Riku that he knows the dark won't control him as it did Riku. Riku's attacks him with a dark ball, only to be protected by Goofy, who bounces it back. Donald and Goofy returned to his side, knowing that Riku's plans were evil. And, Sora tells him, he doesn't need the keyblade to win. They keyblade isn't the source of his power, his friends are. In that moment, the keyblade returns to him, his heart, full of light, now stronger than Riku's, full of darkness, once again.
A fight starts, and Sora wins, causing Riku to lose control and return to his normal appearance. He retreated through a door that required four pieces to be opened, and after he finds them, Sora follows. He arrives at the castle chapel, only to be confronted by Malificent in dragon form. The fight is long and difficult, but Sora defeats her. Riku shows up to boast before dissapearing once again.
Sora and pals find themselves at the Grand Hall, where the Princesses of Heart are being kept. Goofy is prevented from entering by a energy field, so Donald and sora proceed alone. Sora sees Kairi on the ground, and rushes to her side. Riku appears once again, to tell Sora that he will not be able to wake her. She's lost her heart.
And then sora realizes it: This is not Riku. He looks like Riku, but his friend wasn't this evil, didn't talk so strangely, wouldn't refer to their best friend as "that girl". As Sora demands the impostor let Riku go, give him back his heart, the Oblivion Blade is pointed at his heart, and pain overtakes him. The man reveals himself to be Ansem, "seeker of darkness". He tells Sora that Kairi's heart is not lost. It was not consumed by the heartless. Instead, it now rested within Sora, and the pain he felt was her heart's reaction to Riku's keyblade. He also revealed his plan to use the seven princesses of heart to unleash eternal darkness on all the worlds.
It was Goofy who noticed that the Keyhole was unfinished, and to seal it, they would need to wake Kairi up. Unable to wake Kairi on his own, Sora takes the Oblivion Blade that Riku left behind, and stabbed himself with it. As Sora dissapeared, Kairi's heart went
back to her, finally waking her up.
Sora then spends a short amount of time running around the castle as an adorable little heartless.
The Heartless!Sora then made its way down to the bottom of to the grand hall, where he met up with Kairi and the others. Kairi saw Heartless!Sora, and knowing it was him, returned his heart. So Sora was human!Sora again. They than left at Beast's command.
There is one last pit-stop in Traverse Town. Here, they leave Kairi, who gives Sora her good luck charm, before leaving once more for Hollow Bastion.
Upon arriving in Hollow Bastion, sora steps into the portal created by Ansem, and fights the monster there. When he defeats it, a keyhole appears, and he finally seals Hollow Bastion.
The final world Sora visits is "End of The world". It is here that the ruins of the worlds the Heartless have destroyed are. It's a heartless world, Goofy points out, so it will probably dissapear once Ansem is beaten. But with Ansem's defeat, the worlds should be restored without Heartless.
They continued to the very bottom of the End of the World and found the final door. A mysterious voice spoke to Sora, telling him that there was no turning back once he entered. He continued anyway. When they entered, Sora found himself in an area that only LOOKED like his island. It wasn't his own island.
This quickly becomes apparent as the features warp. Many sections of the island dissapear, and ocean turns from bright blue to a dark purple. He finds Ansem-in-Riku facing the sea, and approaches him. Ansem himself then spoke to them, claiming darkness had control over all. Sora points out he's wrong, as light was the clear winner. They then fought, Donald and Goofy being kicked out by a barrier, so only Sora could enter. He proceeded to defeat Ansem, and was taken to an abyss with Donald and Goofy.
Sora encounters Ansem again, who tells him that Kingdom Hearts is where all hearts are born, and is made of darkness. It's not, Sora says. It contains darkness, but light rests within it as well.
A fight breaks out again, but this time Sora, Donald, and Goofy fight together.
In desperation, Ansem open the door of Kingdom Hearts, remaining convinced it is made of darkness. In comes Sora's classic line: "I know now, without a doubt, that Kingdom Hearts is light!" Said light destroys Ansem, a man made of only darkness.
As the darkness within Kingdom hearts bursts out, Sora and pals attempt to shut the doors, but it doesn't work. Several Heartless come out to attack, just as King Mickey appears and fends them off. Riku is with him, and both enter Kingdom Hearts, to close the doors from within. Reluctantly, Sora helps the King and Riku close the doors, sealing them inside. Riku looks back one last time, telling Sora to "Take care of her", in reference to Kairi.
Though the two are now locked in, there must be a door to light somewhere, Sora insists, and they will be able to get out. Finally Kairi appears on a section of End of The World that is slowly dissolving. She calls out to Sora as she is taken back to Destiny Islands, who promises to return to her.
We last see Sora, Donald, and Goofy running down a a winding path, chasing after Pluto, the king's dog, who has a letter with the King's seal in his mouth.

Personality:
Sora is a breakaway from Square-Enix's usual protagonist. He trades in the emo and tragedy for sunshine and rainbows a more out-going and cheerful personality.
He's pretty much a typical cheerful and carefree 16-year-old boy that just so happens to be the savior of the worlds. He once spent his days planning adventures and training with wooden swords, getting in play fights against his best friend Riku. He really wants nothing more than to be able to hang out with his friends, doing whatever, and is content to spend his time that way. To Sora, friends are the world, and his source of strength. This tends to make Sora seem immature and childish -- and to a point, he is. But he's also what is needed in a keyblade master. Brave, determined, willing to put his life on the line for someone he's never even met. Sora is the protector of light for a reason.
While Sora may be considered not as mature as his close friend Riku, he is certainly a brave little adventurer. When his home was struck by a fierce storm, Sora braved it to save the raft he and his friends had made. When he realised there were strange creatures there, he didn't back down. He fought against them, not even knowing what they were, in a desperate bid to find his friends. If he was scared, he didn't show it. He just stood up and did what he had to do. Whens omeone is in trouble, Sora will be the first one running to help them, no matter how many people are running away. Whether he knows them doesn't matter. Whether they are his enemy doesn't matter. It's a person in trouble, who needs his help, and that's all that counts. He doesn't do it for glory or noteriety. He does it because it's the right thing.
Sora's loyalty, his dedication to finding and protecting his friends, the pure light in Sora's heart, and the fact he gave his life to save Kairi is just a small part of what makes him such a good person. He may not be as competent as those around him, but he never fails to try and handle a situation with the best of his ability, giving it one hundred and ten percent when neccessary. He possesses a strong sense of justice and an unrelenting heart. At times, he is impulsive and quick to anger, but he is always sincere about what he says and does. He rarely, if ever, shows his fear, and doesn't back down from a challenge.
Unfortunately, as come with the territory of being a teenager, Sora can be quite brash and stubborn. He'll refuse to listen to others if he is convinced he's right, and has the habit of accidently disrespecting those in a higher position then him until corrected. He's willful, and highly competetive, not hesitating to take charge of the group when faced with challenge, and tends to be a bit of a show-off.
Possibly because he was raised on an island, Sora sometimes falls into the more naive side of the spectrum. He's not stupid, but he tends to believe people, mostly his friends, when they tell him something. However, it does seem that it remains in the area of his friends, as his enemies have failed to trick him multiple times. ..Though, being an islander, he is probably a little more sheltered than most.

After all the adventure's he'd been on, Sora has grown used to being woken in the middle of the night. Regardless, he isn't prepared for the light suddenly filling his room. In a minor panic he snatches up the NEXUS, readying himself to shout something or other into it. But as the scene begins to play itself out, he stops, and it lingers in his hand, sharing with anyone who wants to see the exact same thing he's watching.
He remembers it all. Ansem's destruction, the blinding light of Kingdom Hearts, the murky darkness that attempted to break out afterward.
Even if it was a year ago, it's still just as vivid in his mind as it is in the projection.
--take care of her--
Having to close his best friend behind that door had been hard, but they both knew it had to be done. And Riku had found his way back, just like Sora knew he would. Because it was about more than just them. It was about all the worlds.
And Kairi. He'd given her heart back, got to be with her again and then...
--I'm always with you too! I'll come back to you, I promise!--
It was here the tears welled up. They'd finally gotten back. The three of them, together at home again.
But they'd been ripped away again, hadn't they? By this virus that was hurting the people they cared about, that was wreaking havoc on their island.
And there it was, in the projection. He raised his hands to wipe at the tears, missing a few as they fell onto the NEXUS screen. Their beautiful island had been restored. He smiled as he watched the trees rise around Kairi, the old wooden bridge that led to club house as strong as ever. Part of him wanted to try to walk into the projection, to go to the secret place just once more.
His smile grew wider, and the tears fell faster as they projection!worlds were restored, taking their proper place in the sky once more.
"We did it."
Questions?: Did you just lose the game?
Did you put your characters name and fandom in the subject: YES. Every good keyblade master follows rules.
