the wings of a bird

I had a great day today.

It started with an awesome night's sleep - something that doesn't happen as often as I want it to, or even as often as it should. We move from there to waking up to blue skies and sunshine. Summer decided to have a peek through the clouds. Then I ended up cooking breakfast instead of lazing around debating what to eat thanks to a tweet from a highschool...classmate (we were never really friends. Not enemies. Just...running in different circles. I'm still puzzled as to why she started following me but maybe she followed everyone she knew so the world was a little less lonely). Scambled eggs, toast and tea. Yum.

From there we go to reading Looking for Alibrandi by Melin Marchetta. Keeping a track of how many books I read last year, in comparision to the films and episodes watched made me realise I really need to read more. And it was nice to go back to being the girl surrounded by words. Nice to curl up with an easy to read book. I think for awhile, taking Literature ruined me for enjoying a book because I'd nitpick away at it.

And now, I've had a shower and I'm about to head off to my first Annie rehearsal. It's a little up in the air whether or not I'm confirmed to do the promo vid / trailer for it, but the rehearsal will still be good to watch it and see how long I have between scenes to get five mic changes at a time done.

I have a feeling when I actually do it, I'll be so wiped out by the end of interval I'll fall asleep in the second act since there are no changes there. :P

And now I'm on the cusp of running late. Need to get out to the bus so I can get out to the twins' house and get a lift with them. And probably dinner along the way. My first rehearsal of the year. I'm riduculously excited. Here starts my theatre fix.
