Was on the bus and Danielle asked me for gum... So I'm the quietest chick, who always has earphones on and chews gum. Gum is like coffee... It keeps me awake. I got to stop blowing bubbles. I wonder whatelse I'm reputed for.
I actually slept early once. No lying in bed forever. I think I slept shortly after 11. Got up relativly early. Better than my waking up at 7 and rushing and getting to school late. Got up around... 6. Ate, showered. Got to school like 30 minutes early. Surfed the net a bit. Went to class... I was falling asleep... And I was hungry. So to not do that in class I have to sleep around 6PM, wake around 8. Stay up till about 2, go to class late and not eat.
Can I drop out and become a xray lab tech? Prof said out of HS... 2 more years training. Really?
Pharm. If Aspirin were invented today it wouldn't be FDA approved. Basically cause it makes you bleed and stuff.
I think I saw one of my former lab partners from Stony Brook here. She was my physics partner. I was behind her in the library on my way out. Have no clue what semester she is, but I'm guessing lower... Have no clue what her name is.
One time in class, Cooles gets a call... "Ian Winston is calling me." Hehe... Must everyone refer to him with his full name? Lol. Kinda in the same vein. Jude Law is really balding... I saw a pic of him at the oscars. I actually think Ian has more hair. Plus it's lighter. Then they're just going bald in different areas.
Anyway, really, it makes me ponder why the hell would anyone in thier right mind want to teach here? Geeze... I even think of Hawley. I mean she wrote THE review books on Micro and she's teaching at this crap school? But then again she's offered to chair the dept.
Moving on. Dr. Ian Winston says 60% of the kids at school are on ritalin, which is basically speed. Wow... Well I know I'm not on it. Hm... Will look up in pharm... Lol. I think I should be on this drug... Motor hypersensitivity. Check. Well I'm always fidgetting in class cause I'm uncomfortable and I notice I do that a lot when I'm tired. Decreased attention span. Check. Once again, may be due to being tired, the hard seats, etc, etc. Impulsivness. Nope. Academic underachievment. Hell yeah! Lol. I remember we went to some CME with Mom so we can go to the circus afterward. It was on ADD. I had more than the criteria. But then again, it's not a disorder unless it affects your life. And presonally I don't want to be doped up on any drug I don't really need. Hm... But there is loperamide... Actually I'm trying to not use that all too often cause I'm getting paranoid. Lol. It is an opiate...
What else? Round worms... I was working on Mirco. I actually think about the only think I "know" are the helminths, AKA intestinal worms and stuff. Anyway, we had a case study and Hawley showed us this pic. She's like this is the only picture that seems to gross out med students. EW!!! It was a picture of this person with all these worms coming out of their butt! I mean, I've seen diseased gentalia all sorts of things, but really... That's just disgusting. She's like you have to warn your patients this will happen. Someone was like, show them the picture. If I saw that I'll live with my worms.
Then since I'm on a moulin rouge kick and studying micro, even when TB was on the last test... So Christian could have had TB, but just not be symptomatic. Most diseases of anything have no symptoms. Anyway, I guess the reason people keeled over all the time was they didn't have like isoniazide and rifampin. Then I guess you wouldn't have to worry about being asymptomatic unless you got AIDS.
