I don't remember the homily...
We had an Aux Bishop come celebrate mass this AM. Sometimes I feel like I'm spoiled. Last week we had a "hybrid" Mass with Latin, today we had a Bishop. But like I said I honestly can't remember his homily. I know he kept repeating "The 10 Commandments". He mentioned being a naval chaplain. And there was something about his mannerisms that was... Distracting?
Before Mass ended... Fr. I came up and said someone received an email from "him" asking for gift cards... Obviously it was a scam. So he warned us that he will never ask for assistance like that. Do not trust emails nor phone calls. If anything he will announce it at Mass from the pulpit, etc. Semi offended I wasn't on this mailing list. HAHAHA! But then I had to laugh... How do I know I even went to him in confession if I couldn't see anything. HAHAHHAA!!!
They advertised the Lenten Mission Symbolon. I told Mom / 7500centfish I wanted to attend, but it starts the same day they are leaving. It seems to be an online series (behind a paywall?) so I wonder if I can get access to the 1st ep to catch up, but at the same time... The point is to watch it as a parish. Lol. 7500centfish is telling me to bring the Titas. I mean... Sure I'll invite them but will them come? Doubtful. I'm also due for a confession session while they are here. I'll invite them to that too! HAHAHAH!!!
After Mass went to pick up my meds. Hm... They did have a cashier. It was the 1st time I actually saw someone working behind the counter, like checking someone out. I have seen people standing there, but people were always at the self serve. When the Aunts used to get their meds there and I attempted to buy something I was always told all they had was self serve so I avoid buying from there. Afterward we went to pick up Mom's meds and... The Pharm tech was like, "Cecilia?" Gets her meds... "I don't have anything for Elizabeth." "You no longer accept my insurance". He apologized. From behind the wall I hear Grace saying come April they're accepting it again. I'm coming back!!! Honestly changing over was such a hassle! But I have 3 month refills so... I might not need to get meds till June / July.
Mom was feeling hypo after Mass. I got her a hot tea with sugar. She poured like 5 packs of sugar in it and downed half a pack straight into her mouth.
She also has a bruise on her forehead... She says she didn't hit her head anywhere and I don't remember seeing it yesterday. I could be spontaneous. She's on 81mg ASA. I was spontaneously bleeding from that so...
Flip phones are for old people and drug dealers. LOL!
Tita E responded to my Sunday Mass text saying she overslept and sparkyboy drove her to and from Mass. I half wanted to ask, "He didn't stay with you?" HAHAHAHa!!! Mom said maybe he went with his parents earlier. But then he can go to Mass twice! LOL!
I currently have to read 21 pages a day to finish Jesus of Nazareth in time for lent. It is doable, but... I don't have time in the AM, nor do I have time to really reflect on what is being said.
